I don't know how they do that? The noise canceling is superb The one thing that I would say is that they skimp where the. over the ear part connects to the Upper part that goes over your head. I don't know what that would be called. I could look it up, but I'm not going to waste my time I guess to get it at this price point, they just use plastic and I've had it break twice on me and I'm so glad I got the extended warranty.

The Midnight Blue is a great color. Indoors, it looks practically black, but once you go outside, the blue looks great.

Great Noise Canceling Headphones

Noise cancelation is perfect, touching the right ear cup to allow outside noise is very convenient. Taking them off automatically pauses whatever you re watching/listening too. I wish it had a better microphone. I tried using for a work call, but people said the voice quality wasn't good. After a couple hours of use, I had to take them off for about a minute because the ear cups were getting warm (not mechanical warm more body heat). Not a big deal...because I was expecting it to heat up right away...not the case for me. Sound quality is very good. No problems connecting multiple devices...phone and tablet.

Only issue was the battery started losing it's charge after 2 days of minimum use. These are better in noise cancelling and comfort with thicker cushions on the ears and on the crown of your head. GET THEM!!

The modular equalizer allows you to adapt the sound to your liking and to the specific music you’re listening to. One feature I wish was available to me is the ability to name a specific equalizer subset instead of just having the default name of “custom 1” in the Sony Headphones app. Aside from that, these headphones are both superb in quality and in their aesthetic. Truly a beautiful piece of tech both in and out.

Mom's Headphones from Sony

We initially looked at other brands that offer noise cancelling headphones, yet Sony is a name we have purchased in the past and it never disappoints with regard to quality and sound. The color is also a nice alternative to black or red. Mom can still kick it but does so on her own terms with her own music, or just sitting quietly without all the noise. These headphones are priced right and were the right choice for our mom.

pretty good a little slippy

I find the sound quality is a huge upgrade but the headphones while comfortable can be a bit slippy if you wear them while laying down.

Decent purchase..still figuring it out

It sounds great and the nose cancellation is better than any other headphones in this price range. The only thing I'm struggling with is that sometimes it keeps pausing and randomly connects and disconnects automatically which is a little annoying. I'm not sure if anyone else has faced this of if just this piece is faulty.
