The app is beneficial to use for eq and adapting to your ears. These have very clear and balanced audio. Unfortunately I can’t give this pair 5 stars due to them not being as loud as I would like. I tend to listen to my music full blast.

Better than xm2

While they band isn’t as comfortable as the xm2, the ear pads are more comfortable since they are lighter. Sound cancellation is better than xm2 but the xm2 was is still a strong comparison in that regard.

Bluetooth to my computer was easy to setup, but the volume up and down worked and stopped. The audio quality was poor, in games which makes me believe its a driver issue, but I stopped using them because of the performance. - Voice chat was clear and the range was about 50% more than my Logictech headset, allowing me to run to the front door and kitchen without disconnection. Using these headphones on the phone is ok. Audio is great. The Volume up and down touch pad is complete trash and non responsive. Design: great comfort, tested twice for 6 hours straight. Audio: good audio quality, with an app to allow for controlling Base and Treble settings. I bought these on sale and think I over spent for the issues I am having with the touch pad.

I did a little more research after my purchase on what all the noise canceling is supposed to cancel which made me feel better that these do what they're supposed to & 100% noise canceling isn't possible. I bought these to knock down noise from 2 loud kiddos while I'm working on my masters at home. They cut out a ton of normal household hums & noises, but don't quite cut out all of the kids' unpredictable sounds. Ear cups get a little sweaty & overall weight is a little heavy after a couple hours of school work--but that's when I know it's time to be done :-) Lastly, I like the talk, controls, & 2nd bluetooth features.

Best headphones I've used

The audio quality out of the box is crazy good and I only had to tweak the EQ a tiny bit to get the bass exactly where I wanted it. The muffs do get a little hot after a while and can make my ears sweaty but I usually don't end up using them that long except on flights.
