Awesome noise canceling headphones

The best headphones for sound

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been heavily using the Bose Quietcomfort ii headphones for 3 years now, but after the ear pads had peeled, I decided to buy a pair of these headphones based on the online reviews that they were actually better. As far as sound and noise cancellation goes, they are! The sound is clearer and more customizable using the Sony app. The only negative with these is that if you wear them for more than 2 hours or so, your ears will start to sweat a little, but it’s not that bad. The Bose is more breathable in this regard, and therefore better suited to long periods of wear if you use them at work or during long travel. But in all other areas, these from Sony are superior.

Because of that, wearing them for an hour or two it started hurting. Those headphones were also noise canceling but I didnt know noise canceling until i tried these. Now i cant study without them. Having a bunch of settings is awesome too. the only issue i have is to change the volume you need to swipe up or down which takes much more time/ effort then tapping up or down to change the volume

Kool and comfortable!

I tried a couple of other ones like the Shures...but what I like about these is they can fold up for easy carry to the gym. I use these for the gym and conference calls. I haven't really had to used them in a crowded office obviously, but they seem to do a good job at the gym. I was worried they'd heat up my ears, but no, not really. Sound is really good with soundstaging...I used these with Tidal. I think they were made to work with Tidal's master series. It's a bit expensive but compared to the Bose I had years ago, they are so much clearer. There is more definition and it's a lot less muddy bass.

So good has pretty good bass and you can customize the sound quality through the Sony app. Gets pretty lousy and the touch panel on the right side is responsive. Definitely worth it

I would say that this model has very good noise canceling and good sound, you won’t be able to tell difference between MX4 & MX5

Best workout headphones

Right when i got them, i immediately went to the EQ settings and tuned them to my liking. The noise cancelation is SO good! I cannot hear a thing outside the headphones when music is playing. But i DO recommend getting a 3rd party app like Wavelet to tune the EQ setting even further if you want to tune them to the best of their ability. Though i know some people really dont care about the audi quality if just wrking out.

Battery not to lasting. Connecting is a struggle at moments. Other than a few electronically flaws great comfortless.

Multipoint doesn't work with iPhone + Mac

I really wanted to simultaneously connect my personal iPhone 11 for music and work M1 MacBook for zoom calls. Unfortunately multipoint doesn't work for an iPhone and a Mac. Others reviewers have been okay with other device combinations, but whenever I played iPhone music I got silence (beautiful noise-cancelled silence I might add!) They didn't seem to want to switch from the MacBook even though it had no audio apps open. So I upgraded the XM4's firmware (via Sony's app), did multiple factory resets, paired and re-paired - but always the same. Spent a day at it, but ultimately returned them. If you don't need multipoint get the XM3's: They're incredibly comfortable and the ANC is unsurpassed.
