amazing ANC

Best noise cancelling headphones!

I upgraded from my Sony MDR-XB950N1 "Extra Bass" Headphones, as I mainly wanted the larger cups and longer play time (30 hours vs the MDR-XB950N1 22 hours). I also recently purchased a pair of Anker Soundcore Life Q20 headphones, albeit not a fair comparison as the Sony WH-1000XM4 are more expensive ($150 on sale vs the Anker $40). The WH-1000XM4 fits nicely (even on smaller heads), provides excellent sonic quality, and is an absolute KILLER for noise cancelling. I like the USB-C charging port/cable (vs mini USB). The volume and forward/reverse track controls are unique (you use motions on the right earpad). While I'm okay with the controls, I'd prefer a more traditional method for these functions. But the bottom line is that these are the best noise cancelling headphones I've owned, and I don't hesitate recommending them.

If you are on a budget then get the true wireless heaphones or wait for it on sale. Either way Sony makes some of the best ANC technology/audio quality combination out there.

Good headset all around

If you have any doubt about the quality of the noise cancellation technology, just drop it. It will block just about everything out. Blaring TVs, voices, engine rumbles, etc. Now, I'm just wondering if I need the Geek Squad on these. Bluetooth technology still isn't perfect and who knows if it'll crap out in two years./

Great for mowing

I plan to use them mowing and traveling. I tested the noise cancelling out while using our loud zero turn mower and they work better than standard peltors.
