I love these. I wasn't looking to spend this much, but if you want all the features AND good reviews it's a slippery slope. I wore them for 20+ hours traveling and they're great. Very comfortable, lighter than expected, they stay on well but you don't feel clamping pressure. The sound quality and noise canceling are very good, provided you have realistic expectations. I would prefer physical buttons over the swipe controls, but they work well enough. Sony does need to include a longer charging cord, but the battery lasts so long it's unlikely you'll want to charge while listening.

Love these headphones! The sound quality is really nice and the sound proofing option is really great. I love using the sound proofing when I am reading something in a busy area. The battery last a long time as well. Took a road trip that was about 8 hours. A majority of the time i used the sound proofing and then listened to music for a bit and my headphones had 90% battery.

This is my first noise cancelling headphones ever, and it is really good. At first I couldn't tell if it was working properly but that's because I didn't fully know what it meant to "noise cancel". Over time after getting used to it, it works so well. While my brother is screaming playing call of duty, I put this on and I can barely hear him. It's incredibly comfortable even with my glasses, the charge lasts days, the charging is fast, it looks great, it's just so nice. Sony really owns the headphone category with this. The only nitpick I can make is the case for some reason, makes you flip it upside down before opening it, because the divider and cable holders are on the top of the case, so if you open it from what looks to be the front, everything can fall out.

I’ve been a Bose and Apple guy. Then I bought Sony. I’m a fan of Sony. But the Bluetooth connection on this headset keeps dropping. It’s not as intelligent as Bose when automatically switching between my phone and fire tv. The touch controls were annoying, I had to disable it so now I can only control the volume via my phone or tv - but worth it to remove the annoying feature. Sound quality is better than Bose but not by much (q35). It’s tighter than my Bose and pressing on my ear so I have to take a break when wearing. Noise canceling is better in Bose. Great to wear if you have glasses.

These are my favorite headphones. Love the sound on them. They don’t weight a lot. Battery life is good doesn’t go low so quick

I just bought these headphones. They were rated quite highly and were well researched prior to my purchase. I love the noise cancelling. I feel like my ears go on a much needed vacation in noise cancelling mode. I would love to be able to afford the 360 Reality subscription as these headphones really shine. I have never had such an immersive experience with a headphone. I wish I could connect them wirelessly to my Tv, but apparently I have to buy yet another device if I want to do that. For now, using the audio jack to connect to the xbox remote. For me, I cannot use the ear but most people may use as my ears sweat so much, I get something like swimmers ear, even for short periods, so I prefer the over the ear headphones, otherwise, cost wise, there are probably more cost-efficient earbuds. I also researched Bose Quiet Comfort and Beats prior to purchase. Beats received really great reviews but can be super tight fitting, which with glasses was not going to to work for me. The Sony headphone are super comfortable, but with wear don't seem as snug. I also get nervous everytime I fold them back in the case as I am worried about breaking, but they fold and they take up less space, just read first before using. I do love the intuitive controls on the side of the headphones, and thought I liked the feature to stop the music while someone talks, but mine recently started stopping noise cancellation when I started talking or singing with the music. I wanted to do chores in the kitchen and sing in the morning. I'm not sure if there is a way to stop this and use it when I want. (I am new to these and probably still have more learning.) I love this device for audio books! I can listen to a whole book and not listen to my husband sitting right next to me watching his very loud sports channel. (I'm not saying ignore your spouses, just that I can enjoy silent companionship doing something I love, and husband can do what he loves, in the same room, and no fights ensue about turning the volume down or changing the channel. We have one tv and sitting area, which attests to the superior sound and technical specifications that went into the development of this product.) As to book reading, I have several books with French settings that contained many words I did not know, and having the audio pronounce the words in my ears was so effective. These would be great for foreign language learners! I kind of want to start learning one now that I have something so like this to do it with. These headphones make it so much easier to focus. As a critique, I do wish the charging cord were not so short, as it makes it difficult to find a safe place to charge as it has to be so close to an outlet, which depending on where your outlets are in your home may make things easy for animals or small children to get. (Literally, earphones are practically on the floor while using cord to charge.)I have neither children or pets, but be advised have a place in mind or be prepared to buy a longer cord, assuming I can find one compatible, which given the price point, would have been nice. That said, the battery life on these are amazing. I am living off one charge and bought these almost a month ago. I use them hours at a time on the weekend, listening to books, music, or just "nothing." For me, having had to stay at home for over a year, like many, working from home in a close space, these headphones were the best , staycation, vacation money can buy. I can't wait to see what more they can do.

These are comfortable, the sound quality is great and the battery lasts a long time, certainly enough for a full day of travel. I'm not sure stepping up to the next model is worth the extra money.

This headphone is so comfortable, the sound is great too, and noise cancelling, I love it. I am a student and really want to have a good headphone to help me stay focused when I am doing my work, noise is an object to me when I am studying. For the design, I love it too, it has minimalist look, and the color is pretty much not same as the picture, you might don't like the Silver one when you holding it, but for me, it is beautiful even tho not the same as the picture. I don't think this is great for gaming, I am student but I also play video games on the weekend, I play Valorant, and CSGO, honestly this headphone is terrible at gaming. But because like I said, I want one to help me get rid of the noise and bring me the feelings of the sounds (nature sound to focus on the task I am working on) or when I am listening to the music but I don't want to hear any sounds around me. It is very light and foldable so it is easy to bring it with you when you go out somewhere or travel. And I would like to let you know that don't give this 1 star because the Speak-To-Chat, which is stop any sounds on your computer when you speak or the sound of someone, something else. You should turn it off when you know there's sound around you and you'll make the sound. I hope this review is helpful

Almost completely sound proof. I got these as a gift for my daughter and if i loved them enough myself I was going to buy a pair for myself. I want to statt by saying I was completely blown away and impressed with the noise cancellation these have. Without music you sound like you are underwater and if someone is trying to talk to you not even a foot away you can barely hear a whisper. With music or other sound going forget about hearing anyone. I also loved the bass these gave off. Some other features I loved is the easy way you can control everything right from the ear muffs. It was also very convinient being able to have an app to change settings and access all the features. Lastly, the case keeping everything protected and in one place. Great for traveling or for keeping it safe. BUT the one thing that I personally didnt care for was I felt it didnt go loud enough. Even after I messed with the settings on my phone and on the app the volume was not as loud as my powerbeatspro I have. However, my powerbeatspro did not have any of the other wonderful features aside from the app, that these headphones have. As I mentioned these were for my daughter and she doesnt care too much to have music blasting in her ears and loves them the way they are. I will probably keep looking for something more suited for me.

Bought these to replace my Beats, so far they’ve been great. The battery easily lasts the week and I use them daily. They’re comfortable to wear and don’t feel very tight around the ears (like the Beats did). Noise-cancelling works so great I don’t even need to put music on sometimes. All that said, I don’t like how they stay connected to the last device they were connected to as I switch between my phone and mac often. The volume adjustment or the pause function by touch seem to lag. I really like the voice when you’ve been connected. They are a bit pricy but I still think they’re worth it.

TL;DR: I really enjoy these and would recommend them to someone in the market for new headphones. -- ***********USE*********** Study, work, meditation. ***********COMFORT*********** I have a big head. The SONY WH1000XM4 fit great. When I am working at a desk or moving around at work, they fit comfortably and snug enough to make sure they aren't falling off. However, I don't know if these would be great for more strenuous activity--I can't see myself going for a run or doing a workout with these. I've used Audio Technica and Beats in the past. The Audio Technicas fit well and were comfortable, but the padding wore out fairly quickly. The Beats were free from a work event. I don't think I'd ever find myself buying them. They never fit Noise Cancelling: The noise cancelling is a great feature for study, work, or meditation. I am unsure if I've used the ambient sound settings; generally when I'm using these, I'm in a space where ambient sounds are pretty calm [libraries, coffee shops]. -- ***********SOUND QUALITY*********** No complaints. Everything is clear and sounds great. There are equalizers you can use in the SONY CONNECT/Sound Connect. -- ***********CONSTRUCTION*********** Seems to be pretty great as well. I don' throw these around or really abuse them. I use them, clean them up, and pop them back in the case when I'm done. -- ***********BATTERY LIFE*********** No complaints on that front. Admittedly, I haven't been using them as frequently recently. I think since buying them I've had to charge them four or five times. They seem to hold a charge fairly well when not in use. I think there's been one day so far that I've killed them during use--but I'm sure they weren't at a full charge when I started using them. ***********COMPLAINTS************** I find the swipe features [volume, skip, etc] difficult to use. Sometimes if I move my head enough I'll pause or skip songs inadvertently. Not a huge deal because I'm generally listening from my phone. Easy enough to manage things through that. It took me a minute to figure out charging as well. I generally charge these off of my laptop. Has to be open, on, and plugged in. If my computer goes into sleep mode, charging stops. This could entirely be an operator error. I haven't looked into it as it hasn't been to much of a damper on my use. Connectivity was problematic at first, too. I was using an iPhone 10 when I first got these. After downloading [at the time] SONY Connect, I struggled to get the headphones and my phone to connect. Took about thirty minutes and a handful of tries. I've since upgraded to a newer iPhone and downloaded the new app [Sound Connect, available through the App store on iPhone]. I haven't had any issues with connectivity since the updates.

I've now used these headphones for almost 100 hours and have had them for about 20 days. They sound really good, noise cancelling always works well, and I have had absolutely no problems with connectivity (I usually have a lot of problems with it on bluetooth headphones). I have worn these almost 8 hours every work day since I got them. The only wear that I've seen is a bit of the coating wearing off because of acetone getting on them (pretty expected- I abuse these things). The case they come with is also pretty nice and the battery life is good, I usually have to charge them halfway through the work week.

I really enjoy how comfortable and amazing the quality is! I've had them for a few months now, and they are my go to headphones. The battery lasts so long, too!

Most comfortable headphones out there. The noise canceling does its work to the fullest especially in the loudest situations. They’re also super light compared to other headphones like beats which I like the most. Also nothing is more crazy than the battery power it has because they can last a good week if you keep using them from time to time. I recommend these over any other brands without a doubt 10/10

First of all it’s a Sony. Sony does two things very well, televisions and noise canceling headphones. I originally purchased the 1000XM3’s, a week later the 1000XM4’s went on sale $30 cheaper than XM3’s. Both are excellent noise canceling, but the XM4 is more flat and neutral sounding, which I prefer. XM3 has a boosted bass response. The noise canceling is the best in the industry and it’s true. With an iPhone the Bluetooth stays connected with no break up all through the house. If you are looking for great sounding, comfortable, light weight, best noise canceling headphones, these are hard to beat. I would recommend highly.

These Noise cancelling headphones are the best. They had been comfortable, the sound is clear, noise cancelling function works excellent and the battery last a long time. All you can expect from a Noise Cancelling wireless headphones.
