Mid at best.

The pressure optimization gave me headaches for the first 2 weeks. I was going to return these, but didn’t realize there was a 14 day return policy. I guess I’m stuck reselling them as I’d prefer a more crisp sound and deeper bass.

That’s not to say the XM4 is built poorly. The material feel doesn’t fit the price, but is still reliable and put together well.

The functions available during a call may vary depending on the profile supported by your smartphone or mobile phone. In addition, even if the profile is the same, the functions may vary depending on the smartphone or mobile phone.
To fix this and to get the optimum performance of your headphone, please make sure to install the latest software version of the headphone via the Sony Headphone Connect app.

My mistake.

I’m taking a trip soon and decided I had vastly overbought for my flying portion of the trip and I just couldn’t justify the expense. They are highly rated and the salesperson was great. Never even used but tried display in store.

Comfy, light... just couldn't sync to my work phon

I bought them for one purpose and that was to be able to use them for work since they had a built-in microphone. I use 3CX internet phone app for my job and could not get those headphones to sync to that app, so I did return them.

Massive head pain, otherwise ok

It hurt the top of my head after 1 hour and gave me a headache from it. The noise cancelling is better by a small amount, and the sound quality was decent after some EQ’ing (out of the box is way too bassy and muddy). Even after EQ was not much better than the Pro as is. The ear pads are fairly comfy, and the technical upgrades are admirable, but for me the lack of comfort was horrible. Tried a couple more sessions but returned after 1 day. I’ll either wait for the Bose 700 to go on sale or try out the AirPods Studio when they come out.
