These are great. They fit wonderfully over the ear and are very comfortable to wear for hours at a time. The noise canceling technology is powerful it really turns off all the noise great for a noisy office. And of course the Sony musical speakers are top notch. It has features to change the volume and it has a feature to turn off the sound when you talk which you can turn off and on. Bluetooth pairing is very easy.

The sound is perfect. The charge lasts a long time as I use them everyday and for several hours a day. I highly recommend.

These headphones are absolutely incredible. The sound quality is top-notch, and the noise-cancelling feature is a game-changer. It blocks out almost all ambient noise, making them perfect for travel or just focusing on work. They are also extremely comfortable to wear for long periods. I was initially thinking of buying a similar pair from different brand but thankfully was able to try these on and they were far more comfortable. No issues wearing them for a few hours in a row. The soft touch 'buttons' are a little weird to get used to (for changing song/volume etc) but easy to figure out. Sound quality is great and the app is helpful to adjust noise cancelling effects or change the auto settings. I've had them for a month and haven't had to re-charge...

Great set of wireless noise canceling headphones. I bought these to replace an older pair of Sony mdr-xb950n1 cans. So far I am enjoying the upgraded features, improved comfort, and sound quality. For certain types of music I do miss the extra bass punch of the older pair, but the sound is much improved overall, as is the build quality. I love that the music pauses automatically when the headphones are removed and resumes when put back on. The noise cancelling and hear-through features are also quite nice. One of the only issues I have is with the lack of physical sound level buttons. The touch swipe feature is quite finicky and makes for a frustrating experience at times. Other than a wish for more physical buttons, I really have no complaints about this solid pair of headphones.

I love my headphones. They are very comfortable and I can leave them on for hours with out any pain, I have even fallen asleep with them on before. They have an amazing battery life with me only needing to change them every 2 to 3 days. And they sound amazing like when I got these I got a hole new world of music. I also don't do good in loud places and these helped so much.

i work in a very loud factory. the noise cancelling feature is awesome! i can accept phone calls, start and stop conversations with voice recognition feature. alexis. long battery life and comfortable to wear. pricey but well worth it

This has been some of the best headphones I have ever had. There is adaptable noise cancelling which does wonderful work. I also love the bass. I wear them all the time and am able to because of the long battery life!

I bought these to use with a MacBook Pro for casual streaming, YouTube, etc. I also use them with an iPhone13 Pro when in a room with others whom I don't want to disturb. I seriously considered the Apple Airpods Max and the Bose QC 45 as well researching many reviews and opinions. I relied heavily on the advice of my techie son who is big into HD audio (keeps his music in DSD files when possible) and is also a well headset experienced major airline pilot. While the Air Pods Max have a few trivial Apple interoperability features, the price was hugely higher. The Bose were a bit behind in features and sound reviews. These Sony's scored best on sound quality, and while I was making the choice, these Sonys went on sale - decision quickly finalized. I was worried about switching them from device to device but it's easy and quickly learned. As I studied them more, I am now using them in the mode where they are connected to both devices so I don't need to switch them. I can only listen to one device at a time, first come first heard, but that is pretty functional if you think about it. BestBuy was out of black in the store, and I am glad. All other headsets I've owned were black or gray, and I just love the blue. The battery life is fine, and USB-C charging is great. They work fine with Siri, btw. This is a minor complaint, but I would prefer that The Speak-To-Chat "time until the mode closes" choices include an ultra-short option, perhaps 5 or 7.5 seconds. I don't remember my Magnolia sales advisor's name (Austin, TX Arboretum), but he was very knowledgable. Thank you BestBuy and Sony!

I’d been on the fence about getting this model of headphone for awhile, wondering if other models like the Apple AirPods Max and the newer Sony WH-1000XM5 would be better purchases for the extra cash or if I should get earbuds because I wear glasses. Well the price came down to a point where it was comparable to highly rated earbuds like the Apple AirPods Pro 2 and the Sony WF-1000XM5, and almost half the price of the Apple AirPods Max so I decided to treat myself. And boy am I glad I did! The sound quality is really good (especially if you use the Sony App EQ settings found in a review for the XM4 on www.headphones.com), the noise cancellation is spectacular. Transparency mode is apparently not as lifelike as Apple’s AirPod products, but that was no big deal for me. I like how you can adjust the transparency levels to your own tastes and environment. The comfort level is great, though people who wear glasses may find themselves making occasional readjustments depending on how long they wear them. These are such a good product that I find myself not caring a bit if other, more expensive headphones sound a bit better or have better NC or better transparency, etc. what these are now is an absolute bargain for those looking for an overall package of good sound, great features and comfort. I may have to get another pair for my wife later this year.

comfortable for long wear. the noise cancelling is about what everyone says it is. blocks out about 80-90%, some frequencies still come through, but overall the average person wouldnt notice. very comfortable for long period wear. battery life is more like 20-24 hours but charges quick. wouldnt recommend them for any active like going to the gym since they're not waterproof, but for everyday uses and travel its the best price to performance set of headphones.

Perfect work/productivity headphones. Great sound and microphone quality. Excellent background rejection on the mic and excellent noise cancellation. They fit well, do not squeeze hard, and work with glasses wearers. I have had mine for close to 3 years now and use them for music and work calls daily. Battery and pads are still in great condition. 100% worth the money.

If you like to listen to music loud and with thunderous bass this isn't gona be for you. Otherwise it's a good set of headphones. Noise Cancelling is pretty decent as well as battery life & range. They are lightweight for their size and pretty comfortable. if you plan on laying down in bed and falling asleep with headphones on, you'll find these to be uncomfortable in this specific situation.

These headphones have many great features. They are very comfortable to wear. They are lightweight. Noise cancellation is very good, but without music playing there is an audible hissing sound from the noise cancellation. The app is great to work with, and connection and setup were a breeze thanks to the consumer friendly app. The app can take into account that you are even wearing glasses when setting up. Doing a wireless firmware update was very quick.There are many choices to choose from with the EQ feature. But the audio quality was not there for me, which was a big surprise given how many customers rate it very highly, and given high ratings from influencer reviews. The instant I started listening to music, I knew something did not sound right. They have a good amount of bass, but it sounds muddy to me, and middle and high tones lacked definition. Instrument separation and clarity was also sub par. I subscribe to Amazon HD music which allows for the highest quality streaming experience. I also tried listening with the cord attached, and many different equalizer settings, but the audio did not improve. In some sense the sound was actually irritating to listen to because of this. I have listened to the Bose 700NC and my old headphones were the BOSE QC 15 wired version, which I compared and thought had much better audio quality and clarity. Maybe these headphones were defective, but in any case I decided not to pursue it and returned them. Given all the other very positive features, I really wanted these to work out.

I recently upgraded from the XM3's (which I've owned for two years) and these 4's are superior in every fashion. The noise cancelling is significantly improved, the bass is still the best of any headphones manufacturer (that's right, I said it, come at me Beats and JBL), as well as a noticeable loss of weight. Now the only two drawbacks seem to be the battery life, and the speak to chat can still use some work. The only reason the former is even a negative is that my XM3's seem to have had a longer life, but I feel that the loss of weight may have something to do with that. But with all that being said, before I go on a ramble like Grandpa Simpson, these (in my opinion) also beat Bose in every category that matters, even if it's by the smallest of margins.

I use them 7-9 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. I am comparing heavily against the XM3's. My reason for replacing the XM3's was the battery was dead from overuse(I replaced the battery myself, voiding the warranty). Noise cancelling and battery life have seen a significant upgrade. Enough that I would consider purchasing the XM4 if my XM3 was still working. Sound Quality wise, it is a decent boost, wired and wireless. Plugged in, it is a smooth sound from the earth shaking bass to the smooth high pitch sounds, these deliver. Throw these babies on in the dark with a scary movie and there is literally no escape. Voices are crisp and warm, while the bass can(and will) blow your mind. Sony typically runs higher on the bass side of things. The 3D audio is pretty awesome as well, from a technical standpoint. Being able to correctly situation 7.1 channel audio in these headphones with an accurate space sound feel. Been using noise cancelling technology since the Bose quiet comfort over the ear headphones(20 years ago), and these are the best I have found. The changes from the XM3's noise cancelling is a solid leap forward. The XM4's noise cancelling seem to mute out more of the mid-hi tones that the XM3's let through, or else it lowers it more. More of the mid to low ranges are effectively canceled as well. My Laptop is the loudest made(seriously, 66db) and is hoisted at above head level in the air. With nothing playing, background noise is audible, but with a little noise playing these headphones really do their job well, enough that my family can be playing 5-6 feet away(they are loud lol) and with something playing at low volume keeps it silent. Another area they do really well in is the noise cancelling adaptation that it allows you to do. I go from my noisy editing area to outside for some fresh air and the headphones automatically adjust for the noise in order to cancel it better. On the streets, it blocks out almost all car noise when tested about 15 feet away from a 4 lane street when busy to a point where it was jarring how disconnected from the loss of hearing.

Great fit. Comfortable. Excellent noise cancellation. Nice battery life. More customization and tuning that you don’t get with the Bose QC series via the Sony app.

If you can find these on sale, these are terrific wireless headphones. I did have to tweak the EQ quite a bit until I found a curve that felt really good to me, but it can be done. These are way overloaded on bass from the start - which can muddle other frequencies. But the bass certainly is punchy, and honestly when it's tweaked these sound really good. They're not AptX-Low Latency or anything; if you have LDAC turned on you can't use multipoint; I still don't think they sound as good as my Shure Aonic 50s. But they do fold down really neatly, battery life is great, noise canceling is powerful. Can be a great value especially if you aren't paying full price.

Pros: - Great audio quality (for bluetooth). If you have an LDAC-supported device, even better - Noise cancelling is pretty good, and lots of options. Same with EQ - It feels comfortable on my ears. I also tried Bose QC, but these feel larger and fit better - Battery life is great. I have forgotten to charge it overnight while listening to music most of the day with noise cancelling, and it has lasted two days Mixed: - Support app is fairly cool? But kinda annoying that you need a mobile app to change settings - Gestures for media control are kinda cool, but you run the risk of mis-inputing Cons: - Build (maybe just personally). See below - With LDAC, you can only pair with one device (although I seem to be able to pair two with a DAC just fine?) This is actually my second pair of these, because the first ones stopped working, and I've noticed already that some features (namely, pause when disconnecting) stopped working.
