Love my Sony WH-1000XM4. I would suggest them are worth the money. I work indoors in a very noisy factory. Desk Job. I do wear Glasses. I had the original Sony Noise Canceling Headphones for 3 Years or more. Bought the M4 for better mic for internet meetings and calls. A little better. Likes 1. Works with my workstation ( Laptop ) fast response low lag. 2. They stop Video and Music when taken off. 3. Comfortable to me. 4. Long Battery life. 5. Sound quality is very great. 6. Mics are okay for internet calls. 7. Noise Canceling. Is great. There are times I take them off and are surprised how noisy it is around me. Dis-likes. 1. App with phone. When I get an internet call my Phone and Workstation are connected the phone wants to grab first. I want the Workstation to have priority. Messed up some calls have to disconnect the Phone Bluetooth to reduce this problem. Sometimes have to do a full PC reboot. 2. No Boom Mic. 3. Mics are not good in noisy areas. Pick up a lot of background noise. 4. Hate the Google Assistant and Alexa. Should be removed. 5. App Location tracking. Phone override. Should be able to turnoff in app. 6. Speak to Chat. Glad it can be turned off with App. 7. Deeper cups. Ears touch hard plastic. Places for major improvements 1. Boom Mic!!!!! Removable would be nice. 2. Charging stand. One you can set on and charges when not in use. 3. Remove Assistant. 4. Deeper Cups or two different foams soft density outside and medium density inside. 5. More control with headphones through App. 6. Changes stay when not connected to Phone. 7. PC App to control headphones. I have the Avantree, Aria ME Headphones. Side by side with my Sony. I really like the Boom Mic. I DO NOT have to repeat myself as much. Because less background noise is coming through. I really like the charging stand. Very convenient. Sound on the Avantree is low, there is a lag, good for call or long meetings where you are the prime speaker. Thank you Eron

For once, a product actually lives up to the hype surrounding it. This may be the most celebrated set of headphones produced in the last 20 years. That praise is deserved. By now, these cans are regularly on sale, so don't pay full price ($350). Easily the best-sounding headphones I've owned, with exceptional battery life (I regularly get 30 hours of playback on moderate volume and Bluetooth before needing a recharge). Great carrying case, too. There are some recordings in my collection that I can honestly say I never really heard before until I listened to them with these Sony XM4s. Be sure to download the accompanying app onto your smart phone to get full use of all the features. I don' want to go overboard with praise, but the simple truth is this headphone set is the best investment I have made in audio equipment in the last 20 years. They're just that good.

Excellent headphones. The noise cancelling on these is very effective and blocks out around 90% of surrounding sounds. The soundstage is also very wide and the base is very good. Battery life last for multiple days as well

The headphones arent too heavy or too light it feels good. and the cushions r very soft to feel with my hands but I'm not sure if its just me but having them on for too long my ears start hurting, not because of the pressure or anything but because the cushions are too small. comparing it to other headphones they have larger cushions. The color is very cute, I was already aware they weren't the white color and are grey and I love the grey. The connection for these headphones are so ragebaiting it pmo. Through the app you can choose to connect to two devices and sometimes it works very well then other times it just doesnt work at all and takes forever. Also, when I first bought it I used it for my pc as well as my other devices but now I use different headphones for my pc because the sony headphones they first, take so long to connect and when they do they often bug out and lag, then when I connect it with wire, it sounds way better than bluetooth but has SO MUCH STATIC. its insane, so i just stopped using the plugged in version, it hurts my ears. over all its good headphones compared to rip off ones I used before the good parts, theres custom noise cancelling for each enviornment you're in by holding down custom button it's alright noise cancelling, if its super loud ofc it wont cancel everything out the music sound quality is pretty good in my opinion overall I dont regret buying it

Let me first say that these headphones are super nice. They are great quality and super lightweight and comfortable. The sound quality and the compatibility with the app is also great. However, I did unfortunately have to return them. I have really sensitive ears and the noise cancellation would start to cause immediate ear pain. I tried changing the settings and the noise cancellation still caused pain to my sensitive ears. I do still recommend these even though they didn’t work out for me personally. But if you do have sensitive ears you may want to try out the noise cancellation in store before you purchase to make sure you don’t have the same issue I did.

These headphones along with the app are a complete experience and I would highly recommend them! Noise Canceling- As someone who is very sensitive to ambient noise, the noise cancellation features are really important to me. There are 20 levels of ambient sound controls, a wind reduction control, and a full noise cancellation control. You can let the app auto-switch what level based on what activity you are currently doing (running/sitting) or based on your current location. You can also control this manually. Battery Life- the battery life is incredible! I use these headphones every day all day. I legitimately use them 16-18 hours a day. Sometimes I forget to charge them overnight, and can use them the next day with a quick charge during lunch!!! I was impressed that not only could the battery actually last as long as advertised but they were comfortable to wear for such an extended period of time. Sound-The sound quality is excellent. You have the ability to set the equalizer depending on what you're listening to and personal preference, plus three custom modes. I'm not a loud listener but these headphones get LOUD!!! There are all kinds of features to completely customize and adapt the way you want what you're listening to feel and hear like.

For the price I paid, this is an excellent value (I purchased when it was a deep discount sale). At full price it's more like a 4 rating. If you are used to a smooth, warm sound, then out of the box this will be very bright although not harsh. You will need to use the equalizer in the app to tailor the sound. Bass is strong and rich. Noise cancelling is actually better than the Bose QC45, which I still own and use. It pairs easily with other devices. Comfort is simply remarkable. I went hours listening without noticing this thing on my head; I actually forgot that I had them on; yes it's that comfortable. When they go on sale again, I will be purchasing the beige color. Good buy.

The sound and noise cancellation is fantastic. The battery last too long. I have other headphones but this one is best.

I travel a lot for work, on various transportation modes. These help to identify eqch scenario and cancel the background noise effevtively. I can do it either via the headphones on the side, or through the easy to use app. I made it through three separate airports with half a battery to spare on a recent trip north. I was also able to walk and talk via my phone with them on too, and had no complaints from the other end about background noise or static. I don’t use these at a PC for gaming since they’re bluetooth/nfc (they’re not meant for high speed gaming!), but they do connect to a pc as well as a tablet very easily, and the music / spoken word sounds great there, too. Good bit of kit for a traveler or wfh type user.

Omg what a master piece these headphones are. Very comfortable you feel as you if you are not wearing them, very light in weight. Sound quality is exceptional. Noise cancellation performance is excellent. I almost wear this 8hr a day when I work and it’s easy when you are in meetings, and when you are off meetings it’s blocks the background noise and gives an additional level of comfort to your ears and you’ll not be distracted easily.

I've been wearing Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones, which sound great, but I needed something wireless and more feature rich for work use. I ordered the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones based on a co-workers recommendation, and I am very glad I did. Sound - The audio quality is great for both voice and music. My HD280s are described as having a neutral audio profile, which is good for my studio use. The WH-1000XM4s have a more full profile to my ears, with a bit more bass and mid range. I like the audio profile, but it's easily adjustable if you don't. Comfort - These are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have a large head (size 8) and these fit me fine. My ears get hot with the HD280s, but I have no problem wearing these all day (with a few breaks). Features - I found the app awkward at first, but managed to find everything I need. I remapped the custom button to turn Ambient Sound on and off, which is helpful in my home office environment. I also like the dual Bluetooth connectivity. This allows me to easily toggle between my work laptop and my phone audio. Overall, I highly recommend these headphones. They are expensive, but I feel they do their job very well.

I absolutely love these headphones. I was looking for a great noise cancellation/music specific over the head headphones, and everything I searched said these Sony headphones where the real deal. I can only agree. Very comfortable on the head. The battery life is really surprising me in a good way. Lasting forever. Great sound quality and noise cancellation. If you are willing to spend the money these are the headphones for you.

I have tried and tested many different Headphone manufacturers from very expensive to average price and these by far exceed all of them in both sound quality and comfort. I purchased this pair as a backup to my initial pair that I purchased years ago.

So I have never owned a set of noise cancelling headphone before and was very surprised at how well they work. They wirelessly connect to my phone and I can easily be in the next room without any issues. I can go a couple of weeks on a single charge (with occasional listening) and have even let them sit for a couple of weeks without use and then just used them without charging. Very comfortable as well.

I have to say that the these cans are quite impressive. The ANC is better than my Bose QC45 cans and the sound quality has a little more mid to bass than the Bose. Overall Sony’s is the perfect fit for my listening please and they fit nicely on my head. Overall, I would say for the price point that the Sony cans are a litter better than the Bose at the same price.

I've purchased these headphones twice now. The first set lasted a couple of years' worth of heavy use. I love that I can pair it with two devices. The noise cancelling is decent. It recharges VERY quickly in only 10-15 minutes. The app on the android (my phone) is a better than the one for apple devices (my iPod). The second pair tends to have a few minor issues, but I am still happy with them in comparison to if I went with the next model. I had also looked at a few other companies, but found this set was still the best value for your money (on sale) and functionality.

Excellent sound and very comfortable. My only issue is that when you press the power button when the headphones are on it is supposed to tell you how much battery life is left but it always says battery is fully charged even when that is not the case.

These are great for walking/running/just listening to music. They are comfy on the ears as well. The noise cancelling feature is great too! Easy to use. I actually bought these for my boyfriend to use on the plane when he comes to visits me and it works really well for him!
