Quality Sony Headphones

So far they work great in the short time I have used them. Some people complained about the bass not being punchy, which I'm not sure why because the sound quality is amazing. I will say the volume doesn't get super loud, which is good and bad. These replaced some Wireless Studio Beats and these are much better quality, both in sound and build. The app has some cool features as well. I'm interested to see how they hold up long term, but so far I love them. (The Midnight Blue color is beautiful)

Amazing sound, amazing noise cancellation

Some audiophile reviewers complained that out of the box, they sound too "dark" and "bass-heavy" (one audiophile compared these headphones to strapping a pair of Toyota Corollas to one's head). I found the opposite. My previous headphones were much darker and more bass-heavy than these. These have much clearer mid and upper range, while still having a nice punchy bass, even if not as punchy as my old H.ear On 2 headphones. If you are an audiophile, you might find the sound disappointing compared to using analog headphones with a $1000 pre-amp/DAC, but every other reviewer I came across praised the sound quality, and being used to cheaper headphones, I have to agree. As with other Sony headphones, the touch controls are super intuitive and easy to use. The noise cancellation is among the best you can get, and this very much improves the apparent sound quality of any music you listen to. I didn't like the Adaptive Sound Control. It's a good idea in theory, but I found that it constantly made "gong" noises while constantly adjusting the noise cancellation levels. I decided it wasn't worth giving up battery life for the constant interruptions to my music, so I turned it off. and manually adjust noise cancellation and transparency as needed. DSEE is a bit gimmicky (it's basically Sony's audio version of DLSS), but as with my older Sony headphones, I find it worth the loss of battery life for a slight improvement in sound quality. I set it to prefer sound quality over connection stability, but for some reason, it is stuck on AAC and won't use LDAC (I'm using an Android phone, and don't have multi-device turned on). I do not use speak-to-chat, as I talk to myself during podcasts, sing along to songs, etc. As with other Sony headphones, you can cover the right earcup to temporarily turn down the music and turn transparency mode on. The music resumes as soon as you remove your hand. Alternately, you can take the headphones off to pause the music. Either of these works better for me than voice-activated transparency. Fair warning: user reviews from older users report that these headphones are not very durable and can break easily. Treat them with a lot of extra care.

The side of the headphones is a control panel and it is super easy to use! The battery life also last a while and I’m a frequent user. If you’re looking for something loud with quality? These are it! Sleek, robust and awesome where it matters

It is simply the best for noise canceling and has a sleeker look than even XM5 for me. It is robust and charges very fast and lasts a long time. The multi-device connection is not the best though and sometimes the touch gestures are interpreted in the wrong way. But overall greate product.

Perfect for a college student

Not the newest, but the best?

My XM3's are dying and the XM4's have updated Bluetooth to allow for multiple device connections. These may be two versions old, but the XM5/6's do not fold up as compactly and, as reviews point out, the headband may be slightly tighter. ANC is great and the sound is balanced.

Expect Sony Sound

It has a very clear sound and was a good purchase, hopefully they update with more volume and bass. More bass would be a great thing if volume is maxed.

Very comfortable headset even with glasses on!

The in ear and convenience of the AirPods is more my style but the 4hr battery life was the main reason I went with these. These are by far the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I wear glasses and these do not hurt whatsoever even after several hours of use with my glasses on. The noise cancelling is amazing and makes you appreciate having that feature. I can’t imagine going back to regular AirPods after using this headset. Absolutely incredible and I 100% recommend these!

I do think the app is solid and useful for my use of these headphones. - My headphones firmware updated automatically -be patient, process took several minutes. Initial impression; very comfortable, really good noise canceling and sound quality.

Love them, but they are too big for my head

The only issue is my head might be a little too small because the end up being held up by my ears and that grts uncomfy. Trying to see if I can make them work or if I need to take them back and try to find some that adjust a bit smaller to my head. Ive had to put a sock underneath the headband part so it doesnt hurt my ears, they are super comfortable when they sit right though!

Best Decision Ever !!

I use these at the gym and It helps me get into my zone. Im excited to use these when college classes start, I'll be able to study with no distractions forrealll. They last super long, I use them quite frequently and they don't die fast at all. The tech with swiping on the sides are also super cool and convenient.

Softest, Most Comfortable to Wear

These are excellent for form fitting softness. The sound quality is great. My only issue with them is the headphones smell like chemicals. That's a deal breaker for me, but not for my spouse.

Wish they were smaller

Bought them for the primary purpose of enjoying my music more but fell in love with the ANC. The connection to 2 devices was really nice too. Wanted to keep them but they were unfortunately a little too big and would slip off my head if I tilted my head forward/backward or tried to work out

Sound quality is uuummm I say about little above average. Has many great features and customization in the free app. Really soft ear cushion comfortable for really long use and none it feel cheap quality material
