Of all the comments that have been said about being not enough this, not able to do that, I think they are all untrue or either an unlucky manufacturing defect. Launch products are not perfect from the start, it's bound to happen. The only thing I do not use are the microphones for making calls, so you can check online and see for yourself about that aspect.

He loves listening to music and the audio of this headset is a 10/10. If you are debating on getting it, you definitely should. Worth the money and makes music sounds 10 times better!

While I am not an audiophile, I do know what I like and these headphones deliver an amazing sound. I have owned a pair of Bose soundlink wireless headphones for the past 6 years, and while they sound good, the Sony headphones are by far more superior in sound quality. To be fair, the Bose headphones are not noise canceling like the Sony headphones; however, when I am listening to music in a quiet room in the house, the Sony headphones win hands down!

Okay, but there are better options in 2022

I tried them out after using the WF-1000XM4 and found the the ear buds to be superior in almost every way. The noise canceling is better, there's not a weird third option between ambient sound and noise canceling, the bluetooth stability is better, the ambient pass through is MUCH better (its pretty bad on these), etc. The only edge I would give to these is comfort, but the material does get hot after a couple of hours. I did ultimately return these and picked up the airpod maxes and have been happier with that purchase.

While we're glad you appreciate the comfort, we truly regret to hear you're not having the best experience with your WH-1000XM4. These headphones achieve a tight seal over the ears. If the effect of noise canceling is not sufficient, please check the guidelines and steps
To ensure optimal performance with noise canceling, please refer to the steps and guidelines below:
• Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
• Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
• The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
• Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off.
Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
We regret to hear that the headphones had to be returned.
We hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase. Thank you for the feedback.

Crystal clear sound & using the swipe & tap on the side of the headphones to control volume & play control is a really cool feature. Also nice feature of being able to turn off noises canceling so can hear ambient noise or someone talking to you & then switch it right back when ready. Pretty nifty. Love these!!

But I also upgraded from LogiTech ones, so I was bound to like them. I mean every one already knows that they are the best sound quality and noise cancellation out there. But I wanted to talk about other features, it can connect to multiple bluetooth sources of audio, so you could go from listening to music on your phone to attending a meeting on your pc seamlessly. This feature is pretty good for me, since I work from home. Also picking up calls on the phone, the microphone is amazing.

The XM4 reviews said this problem was fixed, so when Best Buy had these on sale I decided to try them. The XX4 is better than the 35IIs in bluetooth device switching (almost instant as opposed to switching in app). Tonal range is better, noise cancelling is better and more adjustable and the equalizer setting in the app are great - only con is the ear cushions require more placement adjustment to be comfortable

Good sound Great battery life CONS No charger, really SONY not charger? I had to go buy one. Short cords, I had to go out and spend more money on cords. Case only fits headphones if you shrink it down to the min size. Great headphones. They are the best I have seen for noise cancellation. But Sony cheaped out on the accessories which is why it isn't a 5 star. They probably saved $5 per headphone but made me spend $15 to get accessories that actually worked. I didn't like the phone app because it needed data access to get all the features working and I don't get data all the time.
