Stopped working after a few months not worth it. Perfect when first purchased until sound started whirring and wheezing and unlucky me didn’t put insurance so now to see if the manufacturer warranty can be of help.

These phones are light, comfy, sturdy and have great noise cancellation. Battery life is adequate and sound quality is pretty nice. The sound distorts slightly at max volume but I’m not hard of hearing yet so I would never listen at that level. These are one of my favorite traveling headphones. I wish Sony would have kept this build quality and upgraded the sound and technology instead of the subpar xm5 design. Xm6’s are not a good price to performance upgrade from these. Knocked one star only due to these being older generation without some newer perks available. If you can get these new and on sale, in the market for good traveling noise cancellers, worth it!

These headphones are amazing. My use case, however, requires that I can hear what is going on around me though. If you require the same thing, I recommend the AirPods Max or Anker Soundcore Q45 for their amazing transparency mode clarity.

These headphones are an absolute game-changer! They offer impressive noise cancellation, are incredibly lightweight, and I was lucky enough to grab them on sale. Noise Cancellation & Sound Quality The noise cancellation is quite effective, especially when music is playing, as it blocks out most external noise. Without music, you can still hear some ambient sounds, but I personally don’t mind since I usually have my music on anyway. Design & Features I love the sleek, smooth design and the effortless sliding adjustment on the sides. There are two buttons: one for power and another with multiple functions—although I haven’t explored it fully. When pressed, it announces the time, reads text messages, and provides battery updates. I’m sure it offers even more features, which I plan to explore soon. Portability & Comfort This is the first pair of headphones I can comfortably carry everywhere. They come with a protective case, but I often just wear them around my neck—so lightweight that I sometimes forget they’re even there! They have that perfect balance of being lightweight yet solid, giving off a premium feel. Bonus Perks The package included six months of free Amazon Music, which is a great perk for some users. I mainly use Spotify, but it’s a nice added bonus for those who prefer Amazon’s platform. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. These are some of the best headphones you can ever get. If you are trying to decide between these and another option, get these! Materials are great, battery life is great, sound is great, ANC is great, it's comfortable, it looks good... you won't be disappointed.

I finally upgraded to the XM4s, and they live up to the hype. If you travel or work in a noisy office, these are a life-changer. • Noise Canceling: Absolute magic. They block out engine drone and office chatter better than anything else I’ve tried. • Sound Quality: Crystal clear highs and deep, punchy bass. The "Speak-to-Chat" feature is super convenient for quick conversations. • Comfort: Extremely lightweight. I can wear them for a 5-hour flight without any "ear fatigue" or pressure. • Battery & Tech: The battery lasts forever (30+ hours), and the multi-device pairing works flawlessly between my laptop and phone. The Sony WH-1000XM4 is Sony's latest flagship over the ear wireless noise cancelling head set. They retail for $350 US and is now available. I do have to say that I had to upgrade from the M2 and wow, what a difference. Right away, I could tell how much they have improved the noise cancellation (NC). They added a feature that allows how much ambient noise you want to allow via the app. Another new added feature is, "Speak-to-Chat", which automatically stops the music and allows in ambient noise once you begin to speak. Its pretty crazy. Then after you stop speaking, the music resumes playing. I have noticed here they need a little work in this dept. It takes about 15 seconds for the music to resume. But also, if you cough or sneeze, the music will pause then the waiting begins again. But you can disable this feature via the app. I find it annoying if i have to clear my throat or sneeze. Another great feature they have added to the M4, is the ability to pair the headset to 2 separate devices via bluetooth. This is very convenient, so you don't have to unpair the headset just to use it for another frequently used device. Phone and tablet for example. The switch is automatic but if you decide to switch to the other device while using both devices, you will have to do it through the app. These 2 added features are what stood out the most to me. There are a lot of features that are great with these headphones. The sound is very good. There are several presets available for you to choose from and a custom mode for you to make any changes to your liking. I did a comfort and "ear fatigue" test. I wear glasses so this is very important to me. I was able to wear the set for 6 hours straight before I started to feel any discomfort. The ear cups are lined with the very soft foam that evenly distributes pressure. Other features include, Google Assistant and Alexa are built in, hands free calling, music control by hand gestures on the outside ear cup, nice travel case, 30 hour battery life (from full), USB-C charge port, and connection accessories included, (see my pics). Charging the headset for about 10 minutes will give you about 5 hours of battery life. (I say 5 hours very loosely). Over all, in my humble opinion, this is the best NC wireless headset on the market. Are they worth the price? Absolutely!

I think you would be hard pressed to find a better set of headphones right now. The noise cancelling alone makes these worth it. Sony has piled features onto this that you didn't know you needed. Very smartly designed features too. Whether it's little things like having your phone and computer paired via Bluetooth at the same time, or how they pause your music when you take them off your head. Extremely helpful stuff. They said amazing, are comfortable to wear for a very long time, and the battery life is almost shocking. I've had the WH-1000XM2 headphones for a while now, and while they are still amazing, these add more features that make them surpass any other pair of headphones I've personally ever used. Once you open the box and go through the quick setup, you know you're in for a treat. The noise cancelling will adjust to your current surroundings and can ever "remember" your locations to set different noise cancelling settings depending on where you're currently at. They also calibrate to your personal head/ear shape. I noticed an immediate difference after they were adjusted. They have excellent sound reproduction and clear bass. The touch controls are extremely intuitive and if you're like me, you won't ever want to go back after using them. The smart listening technology works well, but I think my favorite new feature is the sensor inside them that will pause what you're playing if you take off the headphones. While they work well when speaking to someone with them still on, I often still take them off, just to so I don't seem like I'm not paying attention to them. This makes my life that much easier just automatically pausing my music so I don't have to scramble to open the app if I need to quickly speak to someone. Battery life is incredible with these. I'm getting the advertised 30 hours, and I really love the fast charging. You really can get 5 hours of battery life out of a quick 10 minute charge. Truly impressive. I mentioned earlier that I really liked the ability to connect to two devices at once. I think the only down side of this is losing the LDAC support. Maybe this can be changed in the future. My only other complaint, is that the included USB cable is probably the shortest cable I've received with any device. It's only a couple inches long. The plus side of that is that all accessories fit inside the case neatly. And the case is very nice itself. It's colors match the elegant look of the headphones themselves - sleek black with bronze accents. There are other great features included as well, but some that I don't typically use in my day-to-day, like the Google Assistant (or Alexa/Siri, if you prefer). I don't use the assistant too much while I work, which is when I'm primarily using these headphones. I also use them when I travel, but I'm not doing much of that right now, of course. The bottom line is that if you're looking for a pair of headphones and these are within your budget, you will absolutely not be disappointed. In the premium over the ear noise cancelling headphones, it really comes down to Sony or Bose... With the WH-1000XM4... the improvements are noticeable. Improved ambient noise support, increased comfort while reducing pressure over the ear, top notch noise cancellation and this new cream color choice! Super light weight, great battery life, sleek carrying case, USB-C charging and a touch control that will have a learning curve to it. Compared to the Bose, Sony has the better bass at the price point, but you can't go wrong with either or. Thanks.

The lifespan of the product is not good. The noise cancelling mechanism on the right side gave out not long after purchase. It started making weird beeping noises from one side due to this issue.

Great value for the price. Even though its the oldest in the current xm line, it still holds up. The signature Sony sound is alive and well in the xm4. Where the xm5 and xm6 have a brighter neutral sound, the xm4 has that rich warmer more rounded bass thats easier on the ears, but if you want more seperation in the mids and treble, id look to the xm5 and 6. The ANC still holds up to everyday use but isnt as robust as the xm6. You can still hear muted higher pitched sounds and voices but once the start playing a song, it covers up those voices. Its also extemely comfortable as consumer cans with it being light weight and having the headband sit more comfortably on the top of your head with an nice even seal around your ears. The app is well made for it and i recomend getting it. It can have some connectivity issues since pushes sound quality aggresively (LDAC). You can set connecticity priority in the app over sound quality and itll fix the issue. On most phones, it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

These are my first $100+ headphones and no electronic device I ever purchased has failed to live up to its price and expectations like 1000XM4. For this premium price, I was not just expecting premium sound quality but also premium bug-free features. It would be fair to call them recycled 1000XM3 with poorly developed new features. Let me break down my experience so far. Sound Quality -------------------- Excellent. I'm amazed by how well balanced these headphones are. You will probably have to adjust the EQ settings to get the maximum out of them for certain types of music. It has trademark Sony Bass which does not feel overpowered and it can get pretty loud (but definitely not the loudest headphones ever). Noise cancellation is top-notch but I did not feel a lot of difference between my friend's XM3 and my XM4. Battery ---------- Good but..... So Sony advertised that these headphones can go on for 38h without NC and 30h with NC. What they did not tell you was that you will have to turn-off all the additional features to go that far. Even with everything turned off, I have never been able to get more than 20h from these headphones. Charging is OK but they claim to offer 5 hours of charging with 10 minutes of charge. This has to be the biggest scam of this century! 10 mins of charge would probably last 1-2 hours with music. Connectivity ------------------ Nice. It is really good to finally see dual connectivity in these headphones. You can seamlessly switch between listening to music on your laptop and then switching to your phone to take a call. Connecting to multiple devices is easy but not bug-free. Many a time the Sony app on my phone will not be able to find the headphones but I found it easier to connect them to PC. My guess is that the mobile app (like many other features) is probably buggy. The range is quite decent and you can roam around within 30 ft without any issues. Calling ---------- Trash. Though Sony added more mics to XM4, the calling is still pretty bad. I understand calling has never been a forte of wireless earphones/headphones but I hate to see that my $30 Chinese Bluetooth earphones have better call quality than $350 XM4. These are notorious for picking background noises when you are on call and I wish there was some sort of ambient noise cancellation for the mic. Other Features --------------------- Design - There is literally no upgrade when it comes to the design of XM4. I mean wouldn't you be disappointed when your friend with XM3 walks up to you and just says, "Oh, I see you also got the XM3. Hmm, nice". And you're like these are XM4 and they are like "Whatever, they just look like XM3 meh". Touch/Swipe control - Oh boy, it is such a hit or miss. I have still not figured out a way to do things with 100% accuracy. Sometimes I will just keep tapping to pause the music or swipe to change the music but nothing really happens. Did I mention how slow the gesture recognition is? Wear detection - A big hit or miss. Sony shows how bad their software is with this feature. I'm pretty sure the hardware sensors, accelerometers are good but their Machine Learning models have not been trained well to detect the action. When it works it feels like such a charm but when it does not work it gets very frustrating. Comfort - Good. You can easily go 4 hours without feeling the fatigue. Sony added 15% more cushioning and I do not know how big a difference that has made. I have average-sized ears and I feel that they start putting pressure on my ears after 3-4 hours. 360 Reality Audio - An amazing feature which I will probably never get to use. Case - LOL, the case looks so not premium. Not that it matters too much but it would be nice to have a leather or a case with a premium finish for this price. Side note - When I think about NC headphones I also think about people sitting around me. Just like how I do not want to hear them when listening to my music, I do not like them hearing my music either. It was sad to see that everyone around me complained about the sound leakage from these headphones.

I've tried Bose 700 a few months ago, but decided to return because of weird connectivity issues with all of my devices and difficult controls... These headphones are simply better in everything - comfortable, easy to use, easy to make adjustments through the app, easy to switch between multiple devices (2 at the same time, but easy to have more devices and switch in a few seconds if needed), sound quality is good, battery life is very long (using every day for multiple hours, but charging 1-2 times per week). Basically, not having any complaints after a month of usage I also tried these in close to 0 degrees temperature, and they worked fine (although some touch controls were slow to respond because it was raining) All in all, it was very much worth waiting for these ones instead of settling for slightly better looking, but much worse Bose option

The headphones arent too heavy or too light it feels good. and the cushions r very soft to feel with my hands but I'm not sure if its just me but having them on for too long my ears start hurting, not because of the pressure or anything but because the cushions are too small. comparing it to other headphones they have larger cushions. The color is very cute, I was already aware they weren't the white color and are grey and I love the grey. The connection for these headphones are so ragebaiting it pmo. Through the app you can choose to connect to two devices and sometimes it works very well then other times it just doesnt work at all and takes forever. Also, when I first bought it I used it for my pc as well as my other devices but now I use different headphones for my pc because the sony headphones they first, take so long to connect and when they do they often bug out and lag, then when I connect it with wire, it sounds way better than bluetooth but has SO MUCH STATIC. its insane, so i just stopped using the plugged in version, it hurts my ears. over all its good headphones compared to rip off ones I used before the good parts, theres custom noise cancelling for each enviornment you're in by holding down custom button it's alright noise cancelling, if its super loud ofc it wont cancel everything out the music sound quality is pretty good in my opinion overall I dont regret buying it
