When it comes to NC headphones, Sony got it right with the XM3 and even better with the new XM4. Also love the Navy Blue color - very different and will stand out in a crowd. Just Go for it.

If you use them as a phone or conference headset they are just OK. For listening to music or watching movies I think they are superior to the Bose.

The main issue with these is a bit of ear fatigue and the constant Windows 10 misbehavior switching between HandsFree and Stereo mode. This problem is not unique to the Sony Headphones.

Posted .Hi Dpal, Thank you for the 5-star rating! Glad to hear that you are happy with your new WH-1000XM4 Headphones. You may be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue.
Note: Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while.

If you haven't yet, to get the most out of your XM4, we recommend updating its firmware to the latest version (v2.0.7). The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.
