Most comfortable headphones out there. The noise canceling does its work to the fullest especially in the loudest situations. They’re also super light compared to other headphones like beats which I like the most. Also nothing is more crazy than the battery power it has because they can last a good week if you keep using them from time to time. I recommend these over any other brands without a doubt 10/10

Amazing set of headphones. Class leading noise cancelling and near audiophile quality audio with the right device. As a previous owner of the XM2's, the XM4's are lighter weight and much more comfortable to wear during the day. As more are working from home and using telecommunications for work, this is quite important and will go a long way. Call quality is also top notch. One downside is the touch controls on the earpiece has been less responsive that previous versions. Often takes multiple inputs for your touches to be recognized. Overall, would recommend these to just about anyone.

If you have the money and want a top-tier pair of headphones for modern life, the Sony WH-1000XM4 are the way to go. The combination of high quality Bluetooth codecs, great sound, improved noise cancelling, good battery life, and smart features like autopause and Bluetooth multipoint makes these the best all-around option for me.

I have tried many over the ear headphones throughout my life especially to use when I am at the gym. These headphones are incredibly comfortable and light weight. I love the functions where I could just swipe on the right side of the ear when I need to instead of looking for buttons with my fingers to use the functions I need. The sound quality is outstanding especially the noise cancellation and if you download the app you can also customize the sounds and when you want the noise cancellation/transparency on and off which I thought was pretty neat. All the other headphones I have used always got uncomfortable to wear throughout my lifting session but these are very comfortable that I highly recommend!

TL;DR: I really enjoy these and would recommend them to someone in the market for new headphones. -- ***********USE*********** Study, work, meditation. ***********COMFORT*********** I have a big head. The SONY WH1000XM4 fit great. When I am working at a desk or moving around at work, they fit comfortably and snug enough to make sure they aren't falling off. However, I don't know if these would be great for more strenuous activity--I can't see myself going for a run or doing a workout with these. I've used Audio Technica and Beats in the past. The Audio Technicas fit well and were comfortable, but the padding wore out fairly quickly. The Beats were free from a work event. I don't think I'd ever find myself buying them. They never fit Noise Cancelling: The noise cancelling is a great feature for study, work, or meditation. I am unsure if I've used the ambient sound settings; generally when I'm using these, I'm in a space where ambient sounds are pretty calm [libraries, coffee shops]. -- ***********SOUND QUALITY*********** No complaints. Everything is clear and sounds great. There are equalizers you can use in the SONY CONNECT/Sound Connect. -- ***********CONSTRUCTION*********** Seems to be pretty great as well. I don' throw these around or really abuse them. I use them, clean them up, and pop them back in the case when I'm done. -- ***********BATTERY LIFE*********** No complaints on that front. Admittedly, I haven't been using them as frequently recently. I think since buying them I've had to charge them four or five times. They seem to hold a charge fairly well when not in use. I think there's been one day so far that I've killed them during use--but I'm sure they weren't at a full charge when I started using them. ***********COMPLAINTS************** I find the swipe features [volume, skip, etc] difficult to use. Sometimes if I move my head enough I'll pause or skip songs inadvertently. Not a huge deal because I'm generally listening from my phone. Easy enough to manage things through that. It took me a minute to figure out charging as well. I generally charge these off of my laptop. Has to be open, on, and plugged in. If my computer goes into sleep mode, charging stops. This could entirely be an operator error. I haven't looked into it as it hasn't been to much of a damper on my use. Connectivity was problematic at first, too. I was using an iPhone 10 when I first got these. After downloading [at the time] SONY Connect, I struggled to get the headphones and my phone to connect. Took about thirty minutes and a handful of tries. I've since upgraded to a newer iPhone and downloaded the new app [Sound Connect, available through the App store on iPhone]. I haven't had any issues with connectivity since the updates.

Lasted about 5 months with issues, but was phenomenal while it did!!! Amazing sound, very comfortable, got on sale for around $260 I believe, so watch for this because it happens from time to time. Now I used these from day one of the purchase till that 5 Month period, and it was daily, pretty much saying they were never shut off. So it was a lot of use, maybe like 10-14 months to someone else since I slept in them too while they were noise cancelling. The Sound Quality was amazing at first, although I noticed that did drop off about 10-15% on Bass, and the volume seemed lessened but not by much - this was in the first month. Although it still sounded great. They do tend to wear very warm and your ears sweat, and they smelled a bit stinky and required baby wipes to clean them often, just a forewarning. Things I didn't care for - the Noise Cancelling only works on certain things. I am a truck driver and sleep with the Noise Cancelling on, so I have a lot to say about this - it blocks out refers for the most part (keeps the lower noise, but the annoying higher pitched noise is gone). Highway noise is removed. Makes it easier to sleep in by far. Before this I used low profile shooters muffs and ear buds. When the squeal of death came about, it started as just an oddity from pushing down into the pillow on my left side and it would squeal while air deflated out around the cushion, but became more sensitive, and then finally whenever my ear was pushed into the muff, and then anything in close proximity to the left ear muff - like my hand going in to cover it. You have to have the Sony App installed on your device to turn off the noise cancelling, and then it works; but you have to do this every time you power cycle these things which gets highly annoying. At this writing they are sitting in a cabinet waiting to get replace under the 1yr Sony warranty before I use my 2yr Best Buy Warranty. Outside of that they worked seamless and flawlessly. I used them on a Surface Laptop, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Tab S4. The only attributable flaw I wish they could work on is wearing them around your neck and then popping them onto your head loosens the adjusters left and right, and you have to adjust them each time - it's too loose I find, maybe a few more inch-lbs of tension in the mechanism would keep this at bay, but that was really it. They last about 6-10 hours of playing (depending on volume and if I had the window partially down - which they don't cancel out wind noise very well at all and it takes away from battery life), and I'll be left at 10-20% by morning sleeping in them and using them for that 10 hrs I have off duty. So the full day charge bit is pretty solid. And then I charge them in the morning, which takes like 1-3/4 hrs or so, which I found just about 2 wks before they went south that it fast charges in like a half an hour to a really good 80% or so, but I had enough time to check that more than twice.

These headphones are really good for the money and what they feature. Although $350 is a lot for a pair of headphones it is impressive how much tech and features Sony has been able to put in these headphones and keeping the price reasonable and competitive with other headphones on the market that cost more and deliver less features. Noise cancelling on these headphones are good, I haven't taken these headphones and an airplane yet, but I did use them in cars and all car noises and radio have been blocked out by these headphones, however when I used these headphones inside my home without playing music and someone would talk to me you can hear a bit of them. These headphones are made from a premium plastic which keep the headphones lightweight, but also quite durable. I can easily wear these headphones for 4+ hours and not get any ear fatigue. The sound from these headphones are incredible, using the normal sound profile these headphones came with deliver great sound and overall well balanced. You can install the headphones app on your smartphone and customize the EQ if you so wish. Battery Life is also great, I have been able to mange around 30 hours with these headphones while using noise cancelling, also to note I usually keep the volume around 70-80%. The features these headphones come with are great even though at times you may never use such features. The biggest feature I do like about these headphones is being able to connect to devices to this single pair of headphones, So I can listen to music on my computer and pick up call on my smartphone. However switching from device to device has a one second pause.

I love the sound on these and the comfort the only thing that bugs me is how sensitive it picks up background noise. Sometimes it’s able to block everything completely and sometimes it doesn’t detect it. The battery life is great to me.

The sound as well as the battery have been great, I bought since May, 22 and still using it right now so there are no any problem like the battery life or the cancellation mode are reduced. Besides this, weight is one of the most Im quite interested in it, thin, concise. The last thing, the hug of headphones does not make my head feel heavy, even though I do not feel one.

After wearing a multitude of headphones for well over a decade now, Beats has always been a strong brand. I purchased this with the intent of having a multi purpose headphones for general use. Whether it be at home or at the gym, it’s definitely reliable. When you first put it on, it’s comfortable although after a while you want to give your ears a break from the pressure on your ear. As far as audio quality goes, it’s what you’d expect from a Beats brand headphones. If your device is DOLBY ATMOS compatible, I do recommend turning it on to immerse yourself to the deep and heavy bass it provides with the noise cancellation. Helps you get in the zone! Battery life is standard but love that it is a USB-C recharge as most of my devices (minus my iPhone) use the same. Overall, very worth the price!

They work great, much better than my old Beats headphones. Not to mention that over-the-head headphones, over time, do not damage your hearing as earbuds do. Great connectivity Sound is by ar better than Beats Long lasting battery life

Honestly the best Headphones ive ever owned. From the quality to noise canceling. Love these headphones. Wear them all the time at home, Work and the Gym. The battery life on these are also amazing, and they charge hella quick too. Also they fit and look great. Definitly worth the money, especially since i was unsure about these when i bought them because of the price. And the app for these headphones are dope too, alot of features and what not.

had to pay a pretty penny for these bad boys but they are well worth the financial commitment. i found having this quality makes such a difference in my day to day mindset. i tried them at a display at best buy a while back and couldn't stop thinking about them so i finally bought them. ordered them to be picked up. they were ready so fast and when i went in everyone was friendly and it was a quick painless experience. now that i have had them for almost a month and use them daily i can truly say these are the best headphones i have ever had and i still look forward to wearing them when i am away from them. the noise cancelling on another level of technology and the simplicity to turn off that function or go to ambient sound makes it so convenient to snap back into reality. i truly love the customizable options to skip, pause, volume, etc. i had some other sony's that had the same function but these are soo comfortable, straightforward and the battery life lasts forever I've only charged them once and the battery wasn't even low I was just doing it out of habit. if you are thinking about it, do it. my only regret is not getting them sooner.

These headphones are amazing. The sound quality is exceptional along with the noice cancelling option. After using mine, I bought a pair for my husband (who is hard to please and finds most things uncomfortable on his head and ears) and he loves them as well. Five stars!

I have been looking for some gym hesdphones that dont fall off and have amazing noise cancellation. When I tell you these are the ones… THEY ARE!!
