Amazing Headphones

I bought both these, and the Bose 700s and took the 700s back. These have a much fuller sound and higher quality app on your phone, while the Bose seemed a bit synthetic in its sound and lacked the bass I was looking for. I literally recommend these to all my friends. They’re heavy, have a high quality feel, and the sound is perfect. The noise cancelation is also amazing, although I’d give these a 9/10 in that category and the Bose a 10/10. Just being honest. Ps: these were also $30 cheaper at time of purchase (350 vs 380 for Bose)

It's literally almost the same as the 3rd version with some adjustments made to it. Such adjustment would be the headphone would pause when you start to talk instead of putting your hands over the earcups. It'll also turn off when not in use for a certain amount of time. I would probably hold off buying the lateat version, if you're tight on money.

Not what I had hoped for.

In short, the maximum volume is far too low, the sony equalizer app helps but, unless you're an audiologist its "What does this button do?", and lastly the active or adaptive noise cancelation let a ton of environmental noise in. Even its more restrictive setting. I returned and bought another Bose 700.

We're glad that you like the comfort of the headphones. It's unfortunate that you were not completely satisfied because of the volume and Adaptive Sound Control. For optimum performance, it is recommended to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). The overall volume may vary depending on the source content. You do have the option to adjust the volume of the headphones and connected device. The Adaptive Sound Control is designed to automatically adjust the noise canceling function by behavior recognition. You can turn this function off if the noise canceling function becomes insufficient.

Great headphones with a few drawbacks

Pretty comfortable, but the headphones did squeeze my head somewhat. The sound is very good, but not for audiophiles. I would recommend using the Sony app's equalizer or (if using a computer) some sort of equalizer software to re-balance the headphones (bringing up the mids). Re-balancing makes a big difference. The Sony App also needs some work. For example, when I am playing a podcast and then set the headphones down (which automatically stops the playback) - when I put the headphones back on, the Sony app and the headphones don't resume playing the podcast, but instead resume playing music on a music app that isn't even opened! Sony can do better than this.

We regret to hear you're having issue resuming playback on these headphones. To better isolate this issue, can you tell us what app are you using to listen to podcast? Does this issue happen on other music apps as well?
The connected device or playback application you are using may not support the wearing detection automatic music playback pause and resume function.
For now, please try to initialize the headset. Turn off the headset while the USB Type-C cable is disconnected and then press and hold the (power) button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the headset is initialized.
