Not bad but way too expensive; not what i expected

I only got them because i kept hearing that the bass is better than the bose qc 35 but they aren't, not by a longshot. I tested it with several songs and the qc 35s sound way better. Which was disappointing because of how expensive these headphones were. Also i did not like the touch sensor or the voice control. The touching sensor is very sensitive; the slightest little bump and your music cuts off. And it took me forever to figure out how to cutoff the voice control. Everytime i sang or talked out loud the music stopped. So it isn't very user friendly if you're new to sony. Overall i returned it 2 days later and im happy i didn't get rid of my qc 35s just yet.

We're sorry to hear that we were not able to meet your expectations with the bass sound, touch, and voice controls and headphones has been returned. The WH-1000XM4 is compatible with Sony|Headphones connect app where you can set the Equalizer which allows you to customize the sound that suits your music, change the function assignments to the touch sensors of both the left and right units and switch between enabled/disabled the automatic audio detection and set the Speak-to-Chat which helps if you have any issues while wearing the headphones. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. We hope that you will shop again Sony in the future and thanks again for purchasing Sony. - Kris

One improvement would be to make the ear cups a little deeper. My left ear lobe just barely touches inside. I don’t have this problem with Bose headphones.

The WH-1000XM4 supports pairing with multiple devices, but sometimes an initial connection to a new source requires a specific setup to establish a solid Bluetooth link.
Please try the following steps to resolve the pairing issue:
1. Check Proximity: Make sure the headset and the TV are within 1 meter (3 feet) of each other during the pairing process.
2. Enable Manual Pairing Mode: Even if the TV's Bluetooth menu sees the headphones, they need to be actively broadcasting the pairing signal.
For pairing a second or subsequent device, press and hold the power button on the headset for 7 seconds or more to enter pairing mode.
3. Perform a Factory Reset: If the steps above don't work, a factory reset will clear all previous pairing information and restore factory settings, which often resolves connection issues.
