I’ve even taken these to the gym to workout in and the cancels out the noise in the game flawlessly and these headphones do no slip around while working out either

Don't just put them on, listen to music and decide the sound quality. With these you have to download the app and adjust the EQ to make them sound good but once you dial it in, they are fantastic. I've never once had a drop from the bluetooth connection or distortion even walking away from my phone all over a house. The noise cancellation is great too.

The Quality of the sound and bass is great. You can adjust and move quickly from Ambient Sound to Noise Cancelling. Very easy to use touch pad. Battery length is also a plus, you can use them up to ~30 hrs (per spec).

As a musician I like to listen to my mixes on many different outputs...studio headphones, phone, bluetooth headphones monitors, car sound system. I wanted an over the rear blue tooth pair I ch could review my music or just enjoy others. I bought another pair right away for my guy! I love the voice recognition pauses so you can talk to someone else leaving them on. I would highly recommend this product. Oh! And it holds its charge beautifully. I charged mine 3 days ago and i use them daily. The only thing i could give a con to at this point is the ease of adjustent of headband sizes without hitting sensitive controls. Not really a con as prob just takes more familiarity. I have s small headHey, it's Sony.

Good sound quantity (even great after tweaking EQ). Cons: app is just ok (connects slowly, interface is confusing). Ears might get a bit sweaty after a couple of hours of use.

I got mine on sale for about 270ish and while it was still a little pricey, these are great headphones. Setup was relatively easy and the app offers many features, including a great eq (the headphones are too bassy out of the box), and different levels of ambient sound. The noise cancelation is amazing, and works well for bus rumbles and airplane noises. The battery life is also extremely good, and they dont need to be charged very often. They look very premium as well and dont look or feel cheap. My only gripe really is that the microphone isnt very good for calls. Besides that, I would highly recommend these headphones if you are willing to spend the money or wait for these headphones to go on sale.

We also appreciate your review about the call quality of the headphones. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is updated (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). These steps may also help when using the mic function of the headphones:
-Keep the headset away from a microwave oven, wireless LAN device, etc.
-Bring the headset closer to the Bluetooth device. Remove any obstacles between the headset and the Bluetooth device.
-Keep the headset away from a TV.
-Re-establish the connection between the source device and the headset.
-When using a video calling application on a computer, switch the Bluetooth connection to HFP or HSP with the computer. During a video call, sound quality may become low due to the conditions of the communication line.
-You can also check the settings of the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.

Phenomenal noise cancelling

They do that extremely well. I can block out all of the background traffic and office noise easily without even playing any music. They also excel at music reproduction and the app allows you to tailor the equalizer to your liking. I worry about durability as they are made of plastic and have hinges but so far they seem fine. I only need to charge them every 3 days or so. They can connect to two devices simultaneously.

Better in every way including BT connectivity

While the sound and noise cancelling were excellent, the BT switching was terrible between devices. NOW, with teh XM4 they seemed to have fixed that to allow switching between TWO devices relatively seamlessly. The sound quality has improved and even the noise cancelling seems to cover higher frequencies than before. The cans fit more comfortably as well. It should be noted that when shipped, the two device feature was not yet included and a firmware update was required. This was not clear until I called Sony support and they walked me though it. Also, I experienced some odd shutoffs during conference calls due, I think, to my AC running at high and possibly confusing the talk feature. I will experiment further next call. The instruction manual and help pages need overhaul. The pictographic explanations are lame.

Although I must say, in a very loud, noisy environment, noise canceling might be a bit unstable, but it produces a transient noise, and overall, it's not a big deal. Great quality, good connectivity, especially for Android, and decent for iPhone. Lightweight and easy to adjust. Sometimes the sudden shift between noise canceling and ambient sound can be a bit annoying; you need to turn it back on with a dedicated button. 4.5/5!

I got these headphones in particular after being told they aren’t harsh on the ears, which is an important thing for me. They fit and feel wonderful, even with all of my earrings on. As for the actual sound of the headphones, everything sounds great to me. The noise canceling is especially great since I use these in noisy environments and hardly anything distracts me from my work when I have these on. So if you are looking to get headphones, these are a great option.

I saw these on sale last year around this time and I did a big mistake thinking they would be on sale a few weeks before Christmas but they weren’t and I ended up buying them but I returned them because of the price which was full price. So when they came around the holidays again this year, I didn’t hesitate when I saw the price drop to the same one as last year. In my opinion, they are the best ones comfort sound and price. I’d rather buy these than the Apple headphones.

Once I made minor adjustment to the Eq, the headphone really comes alive. I have custom settings for certain genre that can easily be swipe through within the app. In the beginning, head headphone had a strong clamp to my ears but after a few hours of use, it seem to have broken in. I had these on for hours While working and they felt comfortable, but my ears did get hot because the suction really cover my ears. The anc is out of this world. I don’t turn on the volume to high, maybe 20-25%. My wife was talking to me but couldn’t hear anything coming out of her mouth. :) I turn of the speak to chat feature when I am outside jogging. It seems to pick up some noises and activate the feature. This thing stays on pretty good while jogging. I would recommend turning up the ambient noise so you can hear incoming vehicles. Overall, I am really satisfied.

As far as I'm concerned, the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones are the best noise cancelling headphones that I've owned. The case is small and the headphones fit nicely. The case has a nice spot for the USB cable and the odd airplane adapter. The ease of Bluetooth connecting to both my iPhone and HP Windows 10 laptop was without issues and the automatic switching between the two devices is flawless. Adaptive Sound Control monitors your physical location and changes as you move to different areas. I could go on and on but because of the many options in the app, I'm still learning what these headphones can do. All I can say is that if you tried the latest headphone from Bose, you will not be disappointed with the Sony's
