ANC is good, took them on a flight to Vegas and significantly reduce the sound of the jet engine however if your expectation is for the to completely eliminate that is unrealistic. Also, doesn’t do a good job canceling peoples voices, so if you getting them to get piece and quite from your family look elsewhere. Audio quality is excellent and plenty of adjustments available via the Sony app.

best form factor for sony headphones

I like this model better than the later ones as it had a thicker headband which is comfy for bald people. cant wear the new ones without head pain. Sony please think of this for the XM7s this form factor was much better. the drivers in the xm3 sound the best for bass but somehow these still sound better than xm5 or xm6 they are trying to make them smaller but ruining the bass in the process.

The Best A/N/C Headphones!

They are just as good as the Bose 700 which I have tried as well, even more comfortable, and for about 100 dollars left a much much better deal. Sony knows what they're doing!

Great sound and battery life

Wish I would have gone up to next model where you can connect to 2 Bluetooth and switch between. Only complaints are that when charging and using 3.5mm jack there is some feedback, and the rest pieces didn't allow much breathing for long use.

It is nice that there is a voice that says whether they are on or off if you don't want to look at the code of lights blinking at you. They are definitely grey. Silver to me implies some level of metallic color. They are just a matte grey. I got these cancel out bass music and domestic disputes from my obnoxious neighbors. They do a really great job doing that. There is a point at which they no longer cancel out the bass noise by merely being on without any additional audio being piped in. The case they come in is nice and hardy. Bluetooth pairing them with my phone was super easy. I would definitely buy these again. Would that they just came in more interesting colors than black and grey.

These are no exception and I love it that they have great sound and are comfortable, so can be worn for long stretches. They seldom lose connection but when they do, they connect back quickly. Loved my Bose QC-35 but the battery wasn’t lasting more than 8 hours. The Sony headphones sound great and have amazing noise cancellation. The battery life is easily 16-18 hours. My only complaint is they take longer to pair to my phone and iPad. The Bose paired immediately. Since these Sony headphones have a new version out, they were almost $80 off. Great deal.
