I contemplated getting the AirPods Max but this has just as good sound if not better, good battery life, and much lighter while wearing. Only thing I wish it had was easier connection and device switching that you get with Apple headphones.

My only complaints are: 1) That the actual durability is questionable… The adjustment arms feel super flimsy which is horrifiying considering these things cost 300 bucks. Everytime I fold them or extend them I feel like they’re gonna break. 2) The noise cancelling also isn’t the geeatest. Some of the features sound cool like when you walk the actual passthrough changes, but its super buggy if you’re working out or doing other tasks. A lot of things also just go straight through it so I often wonder if I even have noise cancelling on at all! Not good. It can be fixed with better software… hopefully they add it.

These headphones are made with premium materials. Rest assured that they are durable.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Sound Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient. With the “Sony | Sound Connect” app, check the setting of [Ambient Sound Control]. If it is set to [Wind Noise Reduction] or [Ambient Sound], the effect of noise canceling is reduced. Set it to the noise canceling mode. Disable Speak-to-Chat, and check whether the situation has improved. Make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date for optimum performance.

Best Headphones Out There

These are also so comfortable that sometimes I fall asleep with them on while listening to music, meditation, or audiobooks at night when I am having trouble sleeping. But, I mostly use these whenever I fly to calm my nerves. The ONLY 2 negatives of these are: 1. You can't charge them and use them at the same time. (But, if you charge them prior to using, they can be used for several hours.) 2. When you connect to multiple devices (I think two devices is the max) there are a lot of "connected/disconnected" messages. So, it's best to just connect to one device at a time.

Listening to Washed Out makes me feel like I'm gravitating lol. These headphones are great. The main reason I bought these headphones is so I can connect to two devices. Connecting to 2 devices are a blessing because I'm on my laptop and phone all day and switching between the two without disconnecting on either is awesome. On my galaxy buds, I don't have to disconnect but I have to click on the Bluetooth on both devices to switch. With these, I don't have to. I'm using the free trial on Tidal and I listened to music with the 360 spatial audio. It sounded ok, but it's not that special to me. I still download my music (not tedious at all lol) so I will continue to use the app my music on and use Tidal until the trial runs out. The Tidal HIFI music doesn't have enough bass for me tbh. The touch controls are great. My only complaint is that I wish they were on both the left and right side. Maybe I just got spoiled with my Galaxy Buds or something, but for now just having touch controls on one side is kinda annoying. Long story short, these headphones are AMAZING and I'm glad I bought these while they were on sale.

These are solidly around not on the ear. They sound superb with great bass and clarity up high. They support two BT device connections at one time. When you use only one connection it has 360 Reality audio and supports spatial audio from Amazon music and Tidal. It actually is optimized for Tidal's phone app. It measures your ears and outside atmospheric pressure and optimized noise cancelling. The noise cancelling really works well. It also works with Google Assistant and Alexa. Pretty feature packed.

High quality noise cancelling headphones

I bought them for my upcoming international trip and wanted headphones that have good noise canceling feature. They performed better than I anticipated, my trip was over 16 hours and headphones battery lasted way longer than this, engines noise was barely audible. I was able to wear them for most of the flight without any ears discomfort. In the past I purchased Beats Pro but in less than an hour my ears were hurting from wearing them.

I have a small head, so most hats and headphones don't fit me and this is no exception. So if tou also have a smaller head, you may also experience it sliding back and forth/off your head, especially if you're moving (running, bending over, weightlifting). I've found products online that should help by creating a smaller bridge, but haven't purchased it yet. Again, this is normal for my experience so I'm just happy that there are additional products I've been able to fine online that help fix this.

I was cautious about wireless headphones after using Audio-Technica M50Xs for about five years, but the sound quality with these headphones is almost indistinguishable from a wired connection. I was not a fan of the out-of-box sound setup, but the equalizer is very user-friendly and allowed me to quickly find the right balance for me. I strongly encourage anyone who uses these headphones to immediately go to the equalizer in the app, since the default sound setup is a little hollow and wet. The headphones have excellent battery life and hold a charge quite well; I use them for several hours a day and only need to charge once a week. The noise cancelling effect makes me a little dizzy so I appreciate the option to turn it down. I also appreciate that the effect turns off when the microphone detects that you are talking. My only real complaint, as before, with these headphones is that the defaults don't sound too great. The app offers wide customization, however, so it's not a big complaint at all.

Bought my Son a pair for MY birthday...

Best wireless headphones I have ever owned. I am sensitive to the "pressure" effect that some noise cancelling headphones can create - not a problem with the XMx's - and the sound is great! My Son hijacked my XM3s, so for MY birthday I bought HIM the XM4s, so I could have mine back - opting to keep the XM3s for myself due to the slightly longer reported battery life (I frequently travel internationally, and nothing sucks more than your headphones running out of charge mid flight!). My Son indicated equivalence of the XM3 & XM4 in most every way, with the XM4 seeing improvements in spatial imaging and bandwidth separation. He is also a fan of the sensors inside the ear cups that detect if you are wearing them or not, to extend battery life. Though I never experience any issues with the Bluetooth 4 in the XM3s, the XM4s are Bluetooth 5. Newer = better, right? (Side note - I had an issue with my WF-1000XM3 earbuds. Called Sony and they had me ship them back to them. 3 days later I had a brand new pair. Great Customer Support!)
