I bought the XM2 version probably 5 years ago, and they completely changed my relationship with music and headphones. They are on at least 2 hours a day. I thought I'd never buy anything other than sony after that, those headphones are still as good as they were when i got them (I mostly upgraded so i could give them to my daughter, and I just wanted a nice new set). The sound from them is absolutely perfect, and every note comes through. The XM4s aren't complete garbage to be fair, they're just not good enough to replace what Sony was making 5 years ago (or whenever the XM2s were put out). These felt cheap, were uncomfortable, and subtle elements from some of my favorite music just wasn't coming through. I returned them after a week. I genuinely loved my XM2 headphones, and was sad to have to find a different solution outside of Sony.

These are now the #2 headphones. Great noise cancelling and fold up very small. Also very light. Sound is a bit muddles compared to airpods max or B&W px.

The noise canceling makes a noise which is a little annoying. Switching between modes is a bit of a hassle, but the overall quality seems good.

I find the noise cancelling feature to be top shelf in and around the house. I haven't had a chance to test in flight but see no reason that they are not state of the art there as well. The voice quality on calls is excellent. The quality with music is very enveloping, like being on stage with the musicians. Very easy to set up makes for a compelling package!

They have a bunch of settings so you can determine how much you want to hear areound you! There is even an app which can learn your main locations and adapt as you seg them for each space. I use them every day and cant get enough of them. I highly recommend them!

They perform just as well as the MX-5s for the most part, but appear more reliable from what I've heard.

Some functions were too much for me. When I sang along with music, it would stop the music thinking I was in a conversation. I shut that off right away.

I Can’t Hear You

Great for kids with autism!

Noises bother her and affect her life negatively. She heard about these online and begged us to get them for her. Without hesitation we did so and it has been a great purchase.
