Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the WH1000XM4. We're glad that you like the sound quality and noise canceling function of the headphones. It's unfortunate that the unit turns off by itself. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). Make sure to charge the built-in battery sufficiently. Resetting and initializing the headset may also help resolve the issue. Please refer to the steps on these links:

Pairing problems with Headphones

So, I bought this new set of the same phones and with the help of Sony technicians, paired it with my Sony 55" TV. But, now it thinks it has two devices connected, even though I have placed the original set in a box in my basement. So, it bounces from one to the other.

We are sorry to hear you are having an issue connecting your Sony headphones with your BRAVIA TV. If you are seeing the list of devices to connect to, the TV is just displaying the name of the devices that had been paired with the TV. It does not necessarily mean that the TV is detecting 2 WH1000XM4 headphones. If you cannot delete the list of paired devices on your BRAVIA, you can just rename the device name of your headphones by connecting them with your smartphone and go to Bluetooth settings -> paired devices -> Edit device name. Once done, pair your headphones with your BRAVIA again. Thank you for your 5-star review despite the issue you are having. Great NC headphones

I have used these for a couple of years and they have been holding up great. (I only use it indoors so take that with a grain of salt) I definitely don't get the discomfort I normally do with other over the ear phones during prolonged use.
