The technology has changed considerably and the sound quality/noise cancellation are much better.

Also, the way it pauses the music when you talk is amazing. It does it automatically. I would definitely select these over the AirPods max.

The audio playback on this unit may be delayed from that on the transmitting device, due to the characteristics of Bluetooth wireless technology. As a result, the sound may not be in sync with the image when viewing movies or playing games. Thanks for sharing your feedback and for choosing Sony.

Get the XM4s only if you don't have the XM3s alrea

No need to upgrade if you have the prior edition. There are new features that add some minor improvements but not really worth the extra $$. Gotta say the blue is slick! Hope Sony keeps this color way for the next installment.

Sound proof really good on airplanes, but not too comfortable after a couple hours of wear them for people with lots of piercings.
