The sounds quality is second to none, the noise canceling excellent, the fit amazing on my giant head (xm3 and xm4 are good for big heads but equally comfortable on my petite wife's noggin), the LDAP, 3D audio, touch controls, adjustable noise canceling to add wind canceling or include voices, etc is all top notch. I highly recommend these.

Very good ANC headphones

I owned a QC 35 II before this. This has the best ANC and now it connects to two devices simultaneously, which is sometimes annoying as the second device keeps disconnecting and reconnecting very frequently (QC 35 II had the same problem). Earpads are very comfortable for short durations. Sound quality is very good and better than QCs.

Amazing Product

The noise cancelling is great though does hurt my head after a while because it applies pressure. The fitment is quite good. But I give it 4 stars because recently I have had a problem, the headphones will randomly disconnect from my phone. It doesn’t happen often but if it didn’t happen at all, I would give this product 5 stars.

The noise canceling is great. The isolation these provide is exceptional yet, still give you a sense of spaciousness. They are extremely comfortable, and you can wear these all day, no issues. People like to say that the plastic here is High Quality, but they are still plastic. $300 headphones. No matter how tough they may be, should not feel like they will break into a bunch of pieces when you drop them. Surely they are not, but I have $100 bluetooth speakers that feel higher quality than these. Just for reference, I own a Sony TV, and Sony A series camera, so I am accustomed to the quality of the their products. I even had an original Walkman, back in the day but, I digress. That being said, these do not sound great. Because the noise isolation is so good, I could never get that feeling of being underwater, out of my sound field. The highs are not as clean as I would like then. The mids are too full without enough clarity. The bass can never be realized even with equalizer tweaks, and sounds overly tight. These are not neutral, nor are the punchy so you are left in a world that you just get used to. I wanted to like these, as the reviews are Out of This World. Thousands of sparking reviews. Guess my hearing is just a bit off, and I do not have have $1200 to buy all the different like priced headphones, so I guess I am stuck with these. If you have the opportunity to listen to these in store, try to. If not, make sure you get these back before the return period. They will not start magically sounding better, just because of other people's reviews. If features are more important than sound, these are the headphones for you.

I bought them for the noise cancelling effect, which has been working great so far. After I have been able to connect them to my older TV's and Tablet, I have this,wonderful surround sound effect. Balanced sound, the major sell point is its battery life, i can go over 24 hours with it without needing recharge. Noise cancellation works amazingly. The sound though, it is good but not the greatest (because the sound is balanced). To make the sound great you have to use an equalizer.

A solid headset with overbearing noise canceling

The sound quality it also fantastic and very customizable via their app. However the noise canceling feature is overbearing, making it feel like you're listening to your music and the hum of an airplane at the same time. I have tried this and the Bose noise canceling 700. I found the Sony pair to be a more comfortable and better sounding headset, but the Bose clearly outclassed it in noise canceling performance.

The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.

Earbuds don’t stay in my ears and on ear headphones hurt after a while with a mask and glasses behind the ears so over the ear was a perfect solution! The sound is incredible and the noise canceling is amazing. I get caught up in my own world and don’t get distracted by things going on around me!

The noise canceling is awesome and does its job. My son has autism and uses the ANC when he's in large crowds. My favorite feature is the quick ambient mode, simple hand over the right headphone and you can have a quick conversation, even lowers your music volume for you, hand off and it goes right back to the volume you had it and noise canceling on. The app works like a dream. Only complaint is it's slow for the app to recognize the headphones are on, but could be my phone or my lack of patience lol Worth the price when on sale
