They sound amazing, the ambient noise option is good if you're walking around outside so you're aware of any traffic or people nearby. I use the noise-canceling when I travel to block out any outside noise. Charges quickly and the battery lasts forever.

Great over the ear

I looked around, read reviews and and tried on several pairs. It ultimately came down that I need to purchase them, take them home and try them. I decided that I would buy the Sony flagship headphone. So far they have worked out wonderful. The sound is great and the lack of outside sound is awesome too. They do not block out sound like in the year versions, but they also do not kill your ear during long term listening sessions. I am still trying to get use to the controls but that is just using them more. I do like the ability to put up the ear and bam you can hear people without taking them off. The one thing I did not like, was the fact that Best Buy was all out of the black ones... I also did not want to to wait a couple of days to get a black version or I could have gone another route... but that is a very small issue.

Noise cancellation works a charm, I can usually wear these for a couple of hours before I need to rest my ears. They sit a little tight on my head even with adjustment, but it’s not unbearable. Bluetooth is quick and easy to connect. Included case is rigid, do not over-torque the headphones when putting away in the case, I feel like it could be an easy failure point. Overall not bad. If you see them on sale I’d recommend picking them up.

I have a hard time with over ear headphones because they make my ears hurt if I use them for extended periods of time. These sony headphones provide enough space to my ears and I can use it during hours with no issues. I would really recommend these headphones.

The balance between the vocals and bass is perfect. The Noise cancellation on the headphones is great. It doesn’t cancel out every single thing but other than that it is good. I plugged it into my radio and at first the sound kept cutting off and on but once I was settled in my chair, it was great. When I plug it into my MP3 player and start exercising, there is occasional static. But there is nothing happening to make me want to return them. Once I get into the music, I don't notice any imperfections. They will make you forget the world exist around you. The noise cancellation is awesome! I purchased these so I could listen to music as my family watched TV. I was in my chair waiting for my sister to cook breakfast. I kept looking at my watch because it was taking so long. Finally I went into the kitchen and my food was on the table. I asked my sister why she didn't call me and she angerly stated she called me four times and I ignored her. I had to explain I had my "Noise Canceling" headphones on so I literally couldn't hear her. :o) It was AWESOME!
