Great heaphones but not premium feel for the price

Can you improve perfect?

At the same time, the XM3s were the most perfect product I have ever bought. Therefore, this is also perfect. I don't like how Sony has treated the newer versions of the XM series, and this was the last of its kind. Huge fan of the XM3 sequel.

Not what I had hoped for.

In short, the maximum volume is far too low, the sony equalizer app helps but, unless you're an audiologist its "What does this button do?", and lastly the active or adaptive noise cancelation let a ton of environmental noise in. Even its more restrictive setting. I returned and bought another Bose 700.

We're glad that you like the comfort of the headphones. It's unfortunate that you were not completely satisfied because of the volume and Adaptive Sound Control. For optimum performance, it is recommended to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). The overall volume may vary depending on the source content. You do have the option to adjust the volume of the headphones and connected device. The Adaptive Sound Control is designed to automatically adjust the noise canceling function by behavior recognition. You can turn this function off if the noise canceling function becomes insufficient.

These things are just wonderful. the ability to be in your own world while listening to music or watching movies is unprecedented. the best time I had with this is when I took an air trip to Europe. the ability to not hear noise and just sleep was awesome... I bought these to drown out the noise while studying and they work perfect. When you put your hand on the outside of the right speaker you can hear the noise outside of the headphones. Great upgrade from Bose QC 35 after app settings

I owned the QC 35s for several years now, and it still works great. To me, the upgrade in going to this pair of Sony wireless headphones wasn’t there until I changed the configurations in the Sony app to my preference. After those configurations, the sound quality made a world of a difference. I still prefer the buttons on the Bose QC 35, and the part of the headphones that goes over the top of your head on the Bose feels more comfortable to me. I will still alternate between using both, but will definitely grab these Sony headphones when I really want to appreciate the music sound quality, especially the 360 reality audio song selections on Amazon Music.
