There are minor issues in their usage. First I kept getting beeps in it and had to research what it is, and how to shut it off. The biggest issue is I cannot get it to work by default with my iPhone calls.

Posted .Hi Jarhead, We value your feedback on the WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones! We apologize for the inconvenience. Depending on how you wear the headset, the noise-canceling effect may vary, or a beeping sound (howling) may occur. In these cases, take off the headset and put it on again. Don't cover the microphones. The noise-canceling function or the Ambient Sound Mode may not work optimally, or a beeping sound (howling) may occur. In these cases, take your hands off the headset microphones. A warning beep sounds and the color of the operating indicator (blue) becomes red. If you hear the voice guidance say, “Low battery, please recharge headset”, charge the headset as soon as possible.
When the battery becomes completely empty, a warning beep sounds, the voice guidance says, “Please recharge headset. Power off”, and the headset automatically turns off.
To turn off the WH1000XM4, Press and hold the (power) button for about 2 seconds until the indicator (blue) turns off. You can also turn off the headset with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

Great NC headphones

I have used these for a couple of years and they have been holding up great. (I only use it indoors so take that with a grain of salt) I definitely don't get the discomfort I normally do with other over the ear phones during prolonged use.

You get different features if you use an iPhone or an Android. I felt like it was much better on an Android. The battery life was great. This was just a little too much for me price wise, even with it being on sale.

The noise-cancelling and sound quality in these were second to none, making them my go-to headphones for anything, from listening to music to streaming shows and movies. Over the past week, however, a painful, high-pitched ring began sounding in the left side more and more frequently when on noise-cancelling mode. Despite visiting Sony support website and going over their suggestions, I was unable to get it to stop, which really is a shame as the limited warranty has long expired and there is not much I can do except pay to fix it.
