Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d been on the fence about getting this model of headphone for awhile, wondering if other models like the Apple AirPods Max and the newer Sony WH-1000XM5 would be better purchases for the extra cash or if I should get earbuds because I wear glasses. Well the price came down to a point where it was comparable to highly rated earbuds like the Apple AirPods Pro 2 and the Sony WF-1000XM5, and almost half the price of the Apple AirPods Max so I decided to treat myself. And boy am I glad I did! The sound quality is really good (especially if you use the Sony App EQ settings found in a review for the XM4 on www.headphones.com), the noise cancellation is spectacular. Transparency mode is apparently not as lifelike as Apple’s AirPod products, but that was no big deal for me. I like how you can adjust the transparency levels to your own tastes and environment. The comfort level is great, though people who wear glasses may find themselves making occasional readjustments depending on how long they wear them. These are such a good product that I find myself not caring a bit if other, more expensive headphones sound a bit better or have better NC or better transparency, etc. what these are now is an absolute bargain for those looking for an overall package of good sound, great features and comfort. I may have to get another pair for my wife later this year.

The noise cancellation works great for tuning out background noise and helping me focus while at work or the gym. They stay secure on your head without that feeling of suffocation, and are comfortable to wear with glasses and earrings. The equalizer offers enough to perfectly balance any genre of music and the clear bass will make any bass lover like myself salivate. Definitely beyond satisfied with my purchase and would recommend anyone looking at these to just go for it.

That being said sometimes it randomly disconnects and takes about 2 to 9 seconds to reconnect.

Great sound and microphone quality. Excellent background rejection on the mic and excellent noise cancellation. They fit well, do not squeeze hard, and work with glasses wearers. I have had mine for close to 3 years now and use them for music and work calls daily. Battery and pads are still in great condition. 100% worth the money.

I got rhe XM5s for myself and she wanted the 4s because of the fact they fold. the XM4s have largely the same pros as the 5s i love the light and gentle fit it doesnf hurt your ears after hours of use. the battery life is amazing and the charging is ridiculously fast. The ambient sound control and noise cancelling are really good too. and i generally just really like the way they look.

I do like the passive technology when i fly i can easily listen to flight changes etc without removing my headphones. Comfortable and now my designated travel set. However qc35 are still a bit more comfortable for extended use like gaming or for work. also the app is great and i can manage the noise canceling from my phone-- in addition its easy to manage multiple phones synced simultaneously (i have a work phone and personal phone) so playing music on one device and getting email notifications on the other is convenient.

The battery life on the device is amazing. I will go days where I listen to music for a couple hours or more before I get to even 40 percent battery life. 2. The noise cancelling abilities are better than I have heard in other over ear headphones. 3. Build quality is light yet solid, making it a comfortable wear for long periods of times. 3. To connect your headphones to your Samsung TV, first, ensure your TV is compatible with A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) for Bluetooth audio. Then, put your headphones into pairing mode by holding the power button for about 7 seconds until the indicator flashes blue twice and you hear "Bluetooth pairing." I used them during a 9 hour flight to Hawai’i and I was pleased at how comfortable they are over long wear periods. Great noise canceling, I accidentally put it on noice canceling at work and my co workers have to walk up and talk to me because I genuinely can barely hear them. Batterie seems to last the advertised 30 hours. 10/10 would recommend. Unable to speak on longevity/ build quality over time.

Noice cancellation, in app customization, sleek design…they’re really great. I picked these up because I refuse to pay for the AirPod Max. I used the headphones in the office, at the gym, and at home. They pair almost as nice as some of my Apple products, so don’t worry about lack of compatibility if you’re in the apple ecosystem. I truly don’t have any complaints. I can keep them on for hours at a time and barely kill the battery. These are everything I need when I want to fully dive into my listening experience.

Also the fact that you can fold it and put in a case to cary easily is so much better compare to xm5 or 6. Something for this price range is really good. You can always go for jabra or some senheiser but if you are looking for good audio and good noise cancelation, this is the best you can get for this price range which is wireless. The battery life is also pretty good. And with fast charging I get a decent battery just for charging 1 hour.

Currently I have all types of headphones laying around the house. Sometimes I just buy them to just see what the hype is about. These Sonys are definitely not just laying around. The battery life is amazing, last all day and into the next. The noise cancelling is great, on a plane you really cant hear much with a movie playing and noise cancelling all the way up. The headphones are comfortable and you hardly notice them. I knew the call quality was going to be all there, and i didn't purchase them for calling so I'm not taking a star. It does deserve to be mentioned that the call quality is trash.

I was impressed with the sound quality. I was expecting it to sound like a typical pair of popular headphones where the bass is so muddy that it ruins the entire sound. This is fortunately not the case. There is also an equalizer in the app to adjust the sound to your liking. 360 reality audio is mostly a gimic. To start there are very few ways to actually use this. The way I used it was through deezer. There is a special deezer app that allows you to play songs with 360 reality audio. I tried comparing a few songs between the normal deezer app and the 360 reality app. I think I prefer the way it sounds with the normal app. It does sound more open with 360 reality audio but it also sounds more processed. A pair of headphones with a wide sound stage and good imaging sounds far better. I think 360 reality audio would be cool if it could be used games or movies but not with music. The battery life is fantastic. I tend to use it in short bits of maybe 30+ minutes here and there. I find I rarely need to charge them. I dont have a ton of experience with noise cancelling headphones. I was initially a little dissapointed in how much it cancelled. This doesnt block as much noise as something that isolates the noise like a pair of shure or etymotic earbuds. Since thats what I often use I wasnt blown away by the noise cancelling ability like others have been. One thing I was dissapointed in that I havent really seen mentioned anywhere is that you cant connect to two devices and use LDAC at the same time. You have to choose which one you want to use. Higher quality or two devices. All the reviews seem to point out that these headphones support these two great features but fail to mention that you cant use them at the same time. Hopefully they figure out how to make both work at the same time in a future version of these headphones. Until then I tend to mostly treat these as the multipoint feature doesnt exist. Overall, these are a great pair of headphones and would highly recommend them.

My office has several people just outside of it in cubicles and I can hear everything they say. These allow me to enjoy an open door while not having to take part in every conversation they have! Great for productivity! The sound quality is also very high, these are not reference headphones, they are arguably not audiophile grade either, as many audiophiles want a flat frequency response to hear the music as intended. These give you a bit of boost in the bass range, and have a very "fun" sound to them. They last forever on a charge it feels like, and sound good enough they don't have me yearning for my "hifi" pairs back at home.
