New motion detection sensor allows you to pick up music playback after you remove the headphones and put them on again. Noise cancellation is about 40% better, more isolated from environment. The only issues are that the bass is not as deep as the XM3's and the XM4 app is a little different then the XM3 app- the lack of sound position control and sorround (VPT) settings hinders the customization options.

Those broke a while ago. The xm4's use a c. bought these over the 5's. Noise cancelling is superb. Music is as crisp and clear as I've ever heard. Use the ldac codec and it gets better. Get these, you'll love them.

Almost negative support from Sony. I had issues with this headset randomly turning the ambient mode on and off and Sony just said “get a different headset”. They don’t support the software nearly as much. Besides this the actual audio experience is very nice, comfortable and light headset with a nice rounded lower bass
