However ogerall build quality is lacking as the drivers are surrounded and incased in plastic. Ear cups can easily wear out, however there is a way to replace them. Would NOT recommend for gym use as they are recommended for any activity involving water Does come with travel case Favorite feature is duel connect. Easily have phone and computer audio cycle as i do.

Great product for most situations.

One unique issue that may or may not matter to some...is that during phone calls, the noise canceling does not works as well for the caller as it does for me. I do not hear any background noise but they do hear some. Not sure if that is just my head set of typical.

During calls, the headphones' microphones pick up ambient sounds regardless of the Ambient Sound Control function setting. This is due to the Sidetone function, which makes it easier to talk using the headphones by allowing you to hear your own voice naturally. As a result, the noise-canceling function works differently during calls compared to when you're listening to music.
This means that while you may not hear the background noise, the person on the other end of the call might still hear some ambient sounds. This is not a malfunction but rather a design feature of the headphones. If this is a significant issue for you, you might want to consider using a different environment for calls or exploring other headphone models that might better suit your needs for phone calls. Good ANC headphones but Sony lags behind Apple

The “smart” features are a hit or miss though. Some really dumb limitations as well like only remembering two devices! Come on Sony, why can Apple do more and you cannot?! The sensor that detects if you have the headphones on doesn’t work if you’re laying on the bed... what a terrible design. Overall, Sony’s software development is far behind Apple when it comes to designing smart features for devices. I don’t recommend these headphones at full price, but at $278 it’s a must buy.

Microphone is practically nonexistent

I was trying to replace my older Bose, and these had decent reviews. The sound quality is nice when listening to music. However, the mic is terrible! Nobody hears me when I’m talking to them through my phone. I’m returning these because of the mic issue. For the price I paid, I expect the microphone to at least function. I’ll stick with Bose.

This is definitely not the listening experience we'd like you to have. We'd love to help you troubleshoot your problem and turn you experience around.
Please try the following to help improves call quality.
Check that both the headset and the connected device (i.e., smartphone) are turned on.
Turn up the volume of the connected device and the volume of the headset if they are too low.
Check the audio settings of the Bluetooth device to make sure the sound is output from the headset during a call.
Use the Bluetooth device to re-establish the connection. Select HFP or HSP for the profile.
If you are listening to music with the headset, stop playback and tap the touch sensor control panel twice quickly (with an interval of about 0.4 seconds) to respond to an incoming call.

Silence is worth a pretty penny.

I found the auto-pause feature to be a bit finicky but everything else works extremely well. Not being able to connect to more than one device was a complaint of mine with the last generation but they fixed that with this new generation. Overall, while they may be somewhat expensive, they are well worth the cost.
