Essential for work from home

The XM4s were worth every penny solely for the excellent noise canceling. TV on in the other room? No worries. Someone's talking on the phone? No problem. They won't block every noise, but if your music is on, odds are that's all you'll hear. As for the sound quality, these will sound phenomenal to anyone who isn't an audiophile. No issues there. I haven't found much use for all the extra features the headphones have - why do I need Google Assistant if my phone is always with me anyway? The autodetection of movement/activty is also more of an annoyance, I've found it much better to use the physical button to switch ANC on or off. Perhaps it would be better if you were on the move often. All around, excellent headphones and worth the investment if you work from home.

It would last me about a week before I need to recharge it.

Over Ear Headphones Done Right!

I was originally looking for Beats or Bose, but the Sony headphones had a lot more consistent reviews. The noise canceling is good, but the snug fit, big pillowed ear pieces, and contoured design make them extremely quiet, without even turning them on. The sound is clear and concise with good bass notes.

Good for noise cancellation under three years

Great for noise cancellation especially if you want to go deaf haha but really they were good while they lasted. For $300 though I expected more

Great ANC with bassy sound.

Makes some music sound a little muddy. Can probably fix this in EQ, but these were really comfortable and the ANC is really good. Recently got these for a 15 hr flight and they worked well.

I’m glad I went with over the ear headphones and chose Sony. The sleek finish and the headset touch pad on the right ear is so handy. Sound quality is great and noise cancelling is far better than Apple AirPod Pro 1.

Nicest over ear headphones for the money

But for the price difference these headphones are still GREAT. Solid consideration for anyone looking for a nice pair of headphones.
