Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After using these headphones along with Beats Studio, Wh- 910n, these headphones are overhyped, overpriced, but over performed. I like the comfort which over did the Beats Studio. They're aesthetically pleasing like Beats. The noise cancelling over performed. Compared to the Cases for each of the headphones, the XM-4s have a cuter and more protective case. The only problems that I have had with the XM-4s is that they're hard to connect to any of my Apple devices, and they randomly disconnect and turn off out of nowhere which is neither rare or common. But compared to the expensive Air Pods Pro Max from Apple, these have way better sound quality and more minimalistic with swipe on the right side of the Headphones, you can access ambient sound, pause, play, and play your next song. Compared to the wh- 910n, it is hard to turn on Siri by just touching the pad of your right cup which the wh-910, It is more worth getting the WH- 910 which are 100 dollars less but sacrifice the aesthetic for the better quality, and better base.

Slight improvement over last gen Sony XM3

Otherwise nearly identical to XM3 in sound, fit & finish, and tech- which is a good thing!

Great ANC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These certainly are not the best sounding headphones on the market, but they probably are the best sounding headphones with active noise canceling. Now, don’t expect them to completely block out all noises, that’s not what ANC is even supposed to do. However, these are excellent at canceling out background noises, like low rumbles and stuff like that. If you’re listening to music or a video or something, then that noise plus the ANC will probably block out those other sounds anyway. I used these while I was gaming and I was never once disturbed. The only downside is that they’re a little bulky for my taste, but that’s just an issue with all over the ear headphones.

Fantastic headphones

The fit is quite comfortable. Construction and build is nice, but the only real downside is that they still feel a little fragile.

Best in everything except comfort

If you have music playing then you cant hear outside world which I like most so 5/5. If you want to hear outside turn on ambient sound. I am not fan of Sony due to their customer service or I would say I had bad experience in India where they ask me for repair cost in warranty product(no physical damage). But based on reviews I found this Mx4 is best suitable for me and I found it perfect. These are not comfortable somehow to me. My ear starts paining after 1-2hrs of usage and I thought I will get used it by now(4 month later) but same issue. I do have Sony's MDR-XB950B1 and used them for 3 years and they are extremely comfortable and I never had problem using them long hours. But these MX4 are not that comfortable, they feel comfortable when you use them for couple of songs but if you are travelling and using more than hr or you might feel that pain or may be its just me.

Great headphones, but has issues

Once you set up the pairing app and tweak the equalizer settings to your liking, they're easily the most enjoyable headphones to listen to music or watch videos through. I've had them for about three months now and things have been greatup unil today, which is what is keeping me from giving these a full 5/5 rating is that they've developed a weird crackle/static noise in the right ear. I'm not sure what's causing the issue as I have been taking exetremly good care of the headphones considering the price I paid for them. It's a shame for such a pricey product for it to exhibit these issues, maybe I got a faulty pair. I'm not sure how to fix the problem at home and SONY hasn't responded to my inquiry about the issue. It also seems to be a common issue with the XM headphones, as far as I could find online, many people were plagued with the same problem on the XM3s.
