My main gripe is that the comfort of the earcups and headband is dinky. It kinda lives up the premium price tag, but shouldn't be 300+

I cannot hear anything when I am listening to music, even when on a mower or in a loud environment. Only issue that I have had is when it self switches between noise canceling and ambient, sometimes it gets confused by the wind if I am outside. But inside I have had 0 issues with that. Sound is very customizable as well. Seem very durable so far as well.

AirPods work great for business calls and mobility, AirPod Pros are fantastic for audiophiles, noise cancellation. AirPod Max is where it changes for me - the sound is very tinny and artificially boosted. This, combined with the silly case needed for on/off function, the weight and less battery life had me looking elsewhere for a proper over-the-ear headphone. Enter the WH-1000XM5. The Sony App allows for endless customization of sound which lets me tailor my audio experience for the sound I am looking for. This makes me feel better about my experience and the sound is more accurate. Some of the "smart" gps options for sound and noise cancellation are gimmicky and I don't bother with them. Just a tip - the black has a very smooth black finish that shows greasy fingers. I exchanged them for this silver which has a grittier matte finish and doesn't show fingerprints.

Review saying he needs more bass needs to realize theres more to music than bass. Wont regret upgrading if you are on the fence. Extremely comfortable, nice punchy bass, crisp highs, and mids are clean. Mess with the sony EQ and you’ll have all you want from your headphones.

Just to shed some light on the wireless thing, these headphones use standard Bluetooth which the PS5 doesn't natively support for game audio because of latency lag, so running that provided cable straight into your controller is actually the best way to get that high-quality sound and game without any delays!

BUT once set up, excellent sound quality, incoming/outgoing call clarity, and noise cancellation was also fairly solid. Would I pay this price again for them? Probably not.
