Best noise cancelling technology available

I had the M3's, which were exceptional, and these are a step above. The sound quality is very true to the music. They do not give over harsh base like some other headphones so if that is what you want these aren't the ones for you. Bluetooth connection is easy and dependable. Great headphones

My WH-1000XM3s are still going strong without any issues and are 5 years old. The XM5 feels cheaper in build and flimsy. Sure, the sound is slightly better than the X3s. But the durability is terrible. Slightly better sounds. Better ANC. Bad durability.

Really Good Headphones a Worthy Challenge to AirPo

The Sony is lighter and less bulky and has more bass I feel than the Airpods Max. I would say these are better for long flights than the Airpods max. They also have a custom EQ that you can set up. They also come with a cable to connect to a headphone jack on a plane. You have to buy that for $35 if you have Airpods max. Noise cancellation is excellent and I really like how you can just put your hand up to the headphone to stop that and have a quick conversation. You then just move your hand and you are back in business. They don't have the spatial audio like the AirPods Max and they don't have the cool factor of the AirPods Max. All in all really good headphones.
