Good, But Falls Short of Expectations

Despite tweaking bass and range settings, outside sounds still leak through in open environments — even with ANC toggled on in the app. I’ve accepted that this may just be their limit. Connectivity has also been hit or miss, with random Bluetooth dropouts that no amount of troubleshooting (on both phone and computer) seems to fix. Battery life is decent but not impressive for the price. Overall, I expected more. My next purchase will likely be the Apple AirPods Max — I’ve met too many people who rave about their truly phenomenal noise cancellation.

Never disappointed with them. The battery life is amazing, super fast charging, love the travel case, super comfortable and fit tons of different sizes, noise cancellation on this is incredible miles beyond anything else at cutting noise (they are insane on an airplane, previous headphones just didn’t do the trick with the constant droning of flying but these cut it down so quit i fall asleep every flight.) the sound quality is incredible, and for those who love base the tune-ability with these is amazing. EQ custom or preset, tons of helpful features like speak to chat or the touch features. Love them!!!

But eventually moisture gets in and causes an annoying static. It can be fixed by removing the earcup and putting a silica packet inside, but that seems a little ridiculous for a pair of headphones as pricey as these. My first pair last about 8 months before this happened - my warranty replacement pair lasted about 2 weeks. From what I’ve read, this problem is rather common.

The fact these headphones have 30 hours' worth of battery life, and customizable EQ settings (they only apply to my iPhone) make this worth my $400. Yes you can use the XM5 with Windows. I have not experienced any audio/visual delay during use. You can configure the headphone properties in Sound settings, and enable bass boost if you like. From what I can hear, the EQ settings I configure with the Sony Headphones only apply to my phone, not my laptop. Nonetheless, if you set them right, you can make one of the best listening experiences possible. For loud work (i.e. vacuuming the house), they do an excellent job cancelling noise. The case is stylish and easy to use. Unfortunately these headphones don't fold like their predecessor. Overall, this product is awesome. I'm glad I bought it.

I have taken these headphones to school every day, including track meets and long bus rides, and I can vouch that these are super comfortable. No matter where I go, as long as I have even a little bit of volume on my music, I can not hear the background. I even use these as home since they are just so comfortable. I would say that they are on the pricy side, so it might not be the best choice for everyone. All in all, these headphones are great, and I don't regret getting them at all, I use them every single day, and I love the audio quality.

Held up for over a year, good for everyday use

They seem a little delicate around the part where the headband attaches to the ear pieces, but he's used them daily for about a year now and they seem to have held up. He uses them for music, his phone, and work calls.
