Great active noise cancellation. Very comfortable. But all that is thwarted by the issue I and many other users have with the connectivity. It will often drop the connection to my phone, PC, Mac, tablet, or whatever other device I have it paired to. I’ve tried resetting it and unpairing it from every device I own so that the only device the headphones can pair to is the one I’m currently using. Still disconnects. Many great features but I can’t use any of them. I’m returning these.

The sound quality is top notch and I love using the noise cancelation mode whenever it's a bit too loud wherever I may be and I gotta say it works amazingly. Another great thing about these headphones is the charge time and battery life! It only takes me about 30 minutes maximum to fully charge the headphones and the battery life can last me all day! The price is perfect for what you're getting. 100% would recommend

But if you find xm5 on sale, grab it. Great sound quality, ease of use, the sony app is amazing but unfortunately its only on mobile phones and not on pc but the settings are easy to set and the headphones will remember it when you connect to other devices. Also connecting to devices is very easy,

Perfect Headphones with possible flaw in some unit

Voice quality is very clear and excellent for remote work or chatting while walking (much better than any headphones I've tried before). ANC and sound quality are great. Deducted one star because mine shipped with an odd defect where the headphones would pick up radio stations in certain areas when on, but only in the right ear cup. This has also been reported by others. The process was lengthy (a couple weeks after troubleshooting) but Sony eventually replaced them. Just a heads up if you hear random country music when nothing is on, you're not crazy!

Please do note that i wear glasses too. - Not for working out or for outdoor use, as they can get warm and damp from sweat easily Strange: - When used plugged in via aux cable to my windows pc specifically, audio quality is muffled unless the headset is powered on too [which defeats the purpose of having it plugged in]

Better than AirPods Max

My biggest complaint with the Max is that, though they sound amazing and work beautifully within the ecosystem, they hurt my ears and do not stay in place. These headphones are sooo incredibly comfortable and LIGHT!! The ANC is wonderful and the quick charging is nutty, 50% to 100% in under 15 minutes… no words. My one complaint is that these are unusable while charging, but that charging speed more than makes up for it. If you’re on the fence, come over to the other side. And this is coming from someone miles deep within the Apple ecosystem. 11/10 so far!!

Choosing these headphones will definitely be worth it. Unfortunately, using the headphones while charging is not supported. When the headset is connected to an AC outlet or computer, all operations such as turning on the headset, registering or connecting to Bluetooth devices, and music playback cannot be performed.
The WH-1000XM5 headphones keep you going with up to 30 hours of battery life plus you can get 3 hours worth of charge after just 3 minutes with an optional USB-PD compatible AC adapter (not supplied). They have their ups and downs. I'm going to talk in depth about each of these, but overall these are the best noise cancelling headphones money can buy, so even when it comes to their downsides, you can't do better. The sound quality is overall spectacular. Noise cancelling wise, these are the best money can buy. I've tried other noise cancelling headphones, and these destroy everything that I've ever tried. It's a night and day difference in terms of the overall quality and effectiveness of the noise cancelling compared to other noise cancelling headphones. These are your ultimate every day use headphones. If you're a normal consumer who doesn't care about audiophile grade stuff, these will absolutely blow your mind. Even if you're an audiophile, you'll probably end up addicted to them for every day normal use. I'm kindof addicted to them myself, to be honest.
