Big problems with these tho, they randomly disconnect and the touch controls stop working randomly. Not at all acceptble even remotely considering the price range. Sadly im returning. The sony headpones app is a blessing. You got like 5 different sound equlizer presets and its really nice with optjons to turn off touch controls. The noise cancelling and transparency mode are a godsend. But for 439 after tax and one day delivery I expect sealess bluetooth functionality and consistency. If u wanna try these go for it, you mite love these like i did on my first day. Also dont get black they leave fingerprints everytime but no biggi.

While we're happy that you like the great sound and you're utilizing the built-in equalizer on the Sony Headphones Connect app, we're sorry to hear you're experiencing intermittent audio and the touch sensor control panel does not respond correctly. Multiple Wi-Fi devices, microwave ovens, cordless phones, or devices that transmit 2.4 GHz band frequency radio waves can cause the sound to cut out. To improve transmission, set the headphones to prioritize on stable connection (via Sony Headphones Connect app) and see if it resolves the problem.
When you wear the headset over a cap, cloth, a scarf, hair, etc., wearing detection may not work properly, and the touch sensor control panel may not be available for operation. Wear the headset so that your ears are inside the earpads. We also recommend to clear the touch sensor so that you can tap the touch sensor directly. If the problem continues on the WH-1000XM5 headphones, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. Expected some noted improvements in the xm5’s and they delivered. Sound quality is great, additional sound diagnostics/information. Slimmer headband is comfortable, overall feels light and portable in a sporty way, while the xm4’s feel elegant as if to be used in a professional environment. Only complaint, and was a deal breaker for me, is the ear cushions - they are much softer than the xm4’s and when looking in the mirror you see the cusion compressed almost all the way to the earpiece. Felt uncomfortable with glasses on. If you are a first time buyer these are great; if you own a prior model you may want to consider hanging on to it alongside your new xm5’s.

Comfortable, lightweight, long-lasting and CUTE!

Fortunately, BestBuy allows you to try the headphones on! After trying both Sony & Bose, I fell in love with the Sony XM5! I love how lightweight and comfortable they are with my glasses. The sound is great and it's cool to be able to touch the right side to hear ambient sounds when you need to. I connect the XM5's to my Samsung TV set to watch TV at night while my husband goes to bed early. NO problems with the Bluetooth connection even on an older Samsung TV! It works seamlessly on my iPhone for AppleMusic too! I haven't taken the time to learn more about them yet, but the basics like volume control are so easy with touch! :) I encourage you to go to BestBuy and try them out if you're undecided! I've had mine a week and just charged them for the first time! Their charging is FAST! I bought the blue pair and they were on sale for $50 off! Watch for a sale on these and then go get them! I'm so happy I did. I love them so MUCH better than in ear buds that hurt my ears. These don't hurt my ears or my head; I wear them for hours without even feeling them! These are great for working and blocking out most all noises.

The sound quality on these are amazing and all the cool little features like the right cup is your controls you place your hand over it and it pauses the song and your able to hear whoever is talking to you. Nosie cancellation is the best on the market. You can connet 2 devices and which from which you want to hear from. The only downfall is that your ears get pretty hot when wearing them
