The sound could be better but with the app, you can get it to where you want it. My one complaint is the sides of the headphones are very sensitive. While I'm working out its constantly pausing or skipping my music. One thing I love though is it cancels out all gym noise. So for me that makes it worth every penny.

I’ve been using the XM5 for about two months and love the feature of being able to customize the eq levels from amplifying the base, vocal projection, & gaming. Every use has the perfect pitch. Funky color is a plus ! Next step is to see the durability in the gym.

Well above average set of wireless headphones

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They don't beat a Sennheiser wired headphone, but for a wireless set, they have excellent sound quality, good battery life, amazing extra features (like the ability to make adjustments with finger touches on the outside casing) and are very comfortable. They have never lost a connection with my phone, and do a good job in both ambient sound mode and with noise cancellation. My two quibble with these headphones are that in terms of noise cancellation, they are not as good as Bose headsets that I have had in the past, and that for what you get from Sony, they are actually a little pricey. I have an earbud set (off-brand) that gets you most of these features for 1/3 the price, The WH-1000XM5 also has a wired mode, that I have never needed or tried, but it's cool that it's there. The zippered carry case come with the set, and it's nice for use inside backpacks or suitcases, but won't hold up by itself for heavy travel. You will appreciate the quality level of the build and they have been decent at the gym as long as you aren't kickboxing or turning upside down a lot. Overall, worth getting if you need an over the ear set, but not if you just need a basic wireless headset.

The best ANC I have had has been with these and the ambient is even as good. I have switched over to headphones from earphones because all of them have fallen out of my ear no matter what the design was. Only thing I do wish was that the touch controls were on both sides.

gym daily, good for unbothered work too

If you use for noise cancelling, you wont be able to hear anything so its good for cutting out distractions. no problems other than having to take care of them. They look like they have the potential to break easy but with care have lasted.

However, the more I used it the more I understood. The ear was a bit tight, this was not great if I wanted to use it for more than 2 hours. However, the more time I dedicated, the more the Ear Cushion molded to mine. Now, I have gone 5 hours straight without any issues. Great Dual Pair Connect for Phone & Laptop. { Bose were my last headphones }
