Noise cancelling works great. I work from home and use them for meetings... I wear glasses, so being comfortable without digging my glasses into my head was a big deal. The included carry case is nice. Ear cushions are comfortable. Noise cancelling works just as good as my previous version. I'd recommend if you can find it at sale price.

The noise cancellation is great. While on a plane sitting on the in the emergency row the noise cancellation was impeccable.

The instructions say they can't get wet and you can't sweat on them. So much for exercising. Otherwise, they had a beautiful sound.

They cut the engine noise on the 12 hour flights by about 80 percent. For an extra $100 I'm sure the next step up would cut more. But these are fine.

Phone are great, mic is terrible

For calls, the mic is terrible. It isn't just "not awesome," it is nonfunctional if I'm in a coffee house, taking a gentle stroll outdoors, or anywhere else that the smallest sounds might be picked up by the mic. For all the AI tech is boasts, it isn't too smart in distinguishing my voice from the ambient noise around me. If you intend to use the XM5 for listening, it is a solid investment. If you intend to use the XM5 for calls, don't waste your money. My primary *intended* use was business calls. That is why I cannot recommend the XM5. I *do* recommend it for music and audiobooks.
