Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i love these headphones, they look like pebbles & the noise cancelling on these bad boys make you feel like you’re exiting a pressure chamber when you take them off. 10/10. the only thing im not a fan of is that they collect sweat when you work out in them. and maybe thats my fault, and i shouldnt be working out in them. other than that, seriously so perfect.

Failed in under 1 yr and Sony refused warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product has a high failure rate for the hinge joint between the head "strap" and the ear cup (see other 1 star reviews). Mine failed in after approximately 9 months of regular use (Aug-2024 thru May-2025). This defect is a systemic issue which can be found anecdotally in numerous places online. Similar issues have been acknowledged by Sony with other products such as the WH-ULT900N. While it should have been covered under warranty, which covers 1 year for "hardware components packaged with the product" from "issues caused by defects in material or workmanship during ordinary customer user", Sony refused to cover my claim and indicated I would have to pay out of pocket for repairs. The product is has a faulty design that is common across Sony products and the refusal to acknowledge the warranty has put me off other Sony products in general. With little other recourse, I've written this review and submitted a ticket to the Better Business Bureau.

Scared to walk in piblic with how good these are in fear of getting robbed without hearing them lol.

Durability

Previous model sony headphones are stronger and more durable. I broke my pair of xm-5 within a few months just like a pair of beats headphones. I would prefer xm-4 for durability, sound quality is good enough.

Go ahead and buy it! I cross shopped it against its Bose and Apple counterparts, It's definitely the winner due to its form, sound quality and weight. It just happens to be the most beautiful of all the 3 too but aesthetics can be a bit subjective.

Swipe controls on the right are helpful and take some getting used to. Be careful adjusting your headsets, as you may inadvertently activate a swipe on the right side.

These headphones sound so much better to me. I have only been listening to them for a little more than an hour, but so far i am happy with the purchase. My only negative is that the case they come in is pretty large. I have not used it for more than an hour, so i cant yet rate the battery.
