You will need to adjust the equalization to your taste - out of the box it is muddy. Noise cancellation is just right and it is a little sensitive to talking (shutting playback). Again, still just excellent!

The sound quality and isolation is amazing. Not quite at the Airpod Max level - but impressive nonetheless! The touch controls on the right ear up by itself makes these an intriguing option to consider when looking for a high quality, excellent sounding pair of headphones! I originanly boguht them to try them out and to see if they were worth the big price, but let me say, every cent is worth it! Ive never used such premium sounding headphones that are worth the money! I love the fact they sound wonderful, the amazing noise counseling, and even the fact I can connect them to my gaming console with the cord that comes with them, and listen to my video games! Song is where it’s at!

Replacing my XM4s

So I decided to get the XM5s on sale and they are just as good, if not better than the XM4s. The headphones sound great and aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn't necessarily upgrade from the XM4, but if you don't have either, go ahead and grab the XM5. You won't regret it!

While there isn’t an option to directly adjust the sensitivity of the touch controls on the WH-1000XM5, there are some best practices that may help reduce unintended touches:
- Ensure that you are making swipe gestures perpendicular (forward/backward) or parallel (up/down) to the headband, as the angle and direction can impact how the touch sensor interprets your input. Using correct gesture alignment may help avoid accidental activations.
- Be mindful of how you wear the headphones, as the orientation and how snugly they fit can affect the response of the touch sensors.
- When setting the headphones down or adjusting them, try to avoid contact with the touch control panel to minimize unintended input.

Music sounds amazing. Unfortunate the application to enhance bass, med and treble only works for phones. 4/5 stars overall, 3.5/5 for games

However, we apologize that you're not completely satisfied with the sound stage for gaming with your headphones. We understand it can be frustrating when sounds in front and behind sound similar. We also appreciate your feedback on the bass and the app's functionality.
