Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the WH-1000XM5. If you find the audio levels too low, we recommend ensuring that the volume is turned up to the maximum on both your connected device and the headphones themselves. You can increase the internal volume of the headphones independently by swiping up and holding your finger on the right ear cup touch sensor until you hear a beep indicating it has reached the limit.
We also suggest making sure the Noise Canceling feature is fully activated while listening. By blocking out external ambient sounds, Noise Canceling allows the audio from your headphones to come through much louder and clearer without the need to significantly increase the volume levels. You can toggle this feature easily using the NC/AMB button on the left ear cup or through the Sony Sound Connect app.

Only a small adjustment on the cushion over the head would have to be wider I think they corrected it on the latest version, again this definitely also depends on the shape of the person's head its gone get some time of use but would work fine, other than that all is perfect. I would recommend it specially it been on sale for a lot less.

They also feel really good and are really stylish; even the carrying case is cool. These are our 1st pair of Sony headphones and so far so great! I hope they stand the test of time. You can put your hand on the right side of the headphone for temporary talk to someone without having to remove your headphone from your head. And many other features. Very light. The only negative thing is the carrying case which is bulky and won't fit easy in a carry on luggage.
