I was gifted these headphones and initially thought to return due to the price. We went to Best Buy looked at others, spoke to staff and I decided to keep and try them. I'm so glad I did, I wouldn't trade them for anything now.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the WH-1000XM5. If you find the audio levels too low, we recommend ensuring that the volume is turned up to the maximum on both your connected device and the headphones themselves. You can increase the internal volume of the headphones independently by swiping up and holding your finger on the right ear cup touch sensor until you hear a beep indicating it has reached the limit.
We also suggest making sure the Noise Canceling feature is fully activated while listening. By blocking out external ambient sounds, Noise Canceling allows the audio from your headphones to come through much louder and clearer without the need to significantly increase the volume levels. You can toggle this feature easily using the NC/AMB button on the left ear cup or through the Sony Sound Connect app.
