They do not provide enough padding on top of the head. Also they hurt my ears because they don't have enough that in the ear pads.

These worked great for the first 12 months. but then the left hinge broke. For background I bought these for work and they stay at my desk. No travel just work calls on teams and some music. It seems crazy to me that they broke. I called Sony support and they clamed it was due to regular aware and tear and said it would be a min of 100 dollars to repair them plus shipping. I looked it up and this seems to break FTC laws. Not a trustworthy warranty

The headphones began to power of on their own. After updates and any additional attempts from SONY, they sent me a new pair. After about 90 days again, the headphones began powering off on their own. After the same problem again, SONY’S resolution was to send me another pair at a discounted price of $200. So, I’ve had 2 faulty devices with the same problem and now SONY acts like they are helping me out by expecting me to pay $600 for a pair of headphones. Their customer service is horrible with no one in a leadership role to help

Sound qaulty is more smooth on these but bass is nowhere near the xm4. The xm4 eould make your ears vibrate. Not the same feeling with these.

While we're glad that you like the sound quality, we would like to apologize if you feel the bass is not sufficient on your WH-1000XM5 headphones. If you haven't yet, please try to follow the troubleshooting steps below.
To ensure an optimal listening experience, downloading the Sony Headphones Connect app lets you adjust your bass levels and gives you different sound modes. There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. You can edit the volume of the CLEAR BASS. Increasing the CLEAR BASS setting value allows your headphones to reproduce dynamic deep bass without distortion, even at a high volume.
NOTE: When the audio source does not contain much bass sound, the bass sound may not be audible.
