Waste of money

It’s an obvious defect, so unless you get the warranty it’s not worth it.

Posted .Hi JasonB, we regret to hear that the headphones had to be returned. There is a physical button on the WH1000XM5s. It is labelled NC/AMB. Tapping this button will switch from noise canceling to ambient sound mode. You also have full control of the noise canceling/ambient sound in the App.

I don’t know what corporate boot the rest of the reviews are licking but these are the worst noise canceling headphones. I’ve got everything set up on the app to have them cancel out the most noise as possible but I can still hear the guy on the other side of the room smacking on chips, and I can even here the kids skate boarding two floors down, outside. Plus, the head band is not comfortable and hurts to wear for more than 20 mins. Returning these as fast as I humanly can.

Worst Headphones I Ever Owned

It cannot do simple things and is constantly having issues. They over engineered with to a point basic needs are not met. Constantly pausing audio or starting audio without being prompted to. I even looked up and turned off all their fancy settings. Still issues. I would not buy Sony ever again.
