The plane ride was long, but the Sony headphones made it an extremely pleasurable trip. The noise canceling is amazing, along with full range, sound, and deep bass.

Carrying case is great too

Good improvement in the way to handle the ambiance isolation and the total silence mode, it is very intutive and I noticed less isolation in the older version I feel disconnected from the sorroundings.Like always unparalleled sound quality. Good quality calls !

Decided on these after a lot of research. I absolutely love the sound and feel of these. The quality is top notch. You won’t be disappointed if you decide on these.

E.g., After a story I was listening to finished, I couldn't get anything else to play. I'm hoping I can figure out how to prevent this sort of thing.

Previous model sony headphones are stronger and more durable. I broke my pair of xm-5 within a few months just like a pair of beats headphones. I would prefer xm-4 for durability, sound quality is good enough.

My first phones were Koss Pro 4AAA. These provide frequency response and detail surpassing anything I’ve ever used. The noise canceling is extremely effective without any I’ll effects. Well worth the price.

If you have an iPhone you will want these

These little cushions of audio goodness were so great my teenage son "borrowed" them and has refused to return them. I also purchased the WH-1000XM4 and these are still a step up. Cons: the headband feels cheap since it is thinner than the previous plastic bands BUT since these lack that wayyy to easy to break plastic piece on previous versions, I'd say it is worth it and a design change that was overdue. If you have an iPhone, the features beat the comparable Bose headphones. If you have an Android, you might actually prefer the Bose. Either way, you can't go wrong

Held up for over a year, good for everyday use

They seem a little delicate around the part where the headband attaches to the ear pieces, but he's used them daily for about a year now and they seem to have held up. He uses them for music, his phone, and work calls.
