Used for a couple weeks for work without needing to charge, charged from 30 to 100 percent in 1hr. This generation has an amazing improvement in sound quality with the carbon fiber drivers. With this new version all distortion at high volumes from bass is completely eliminated, unlike the XM4s or Bose 700 headphones. 10/10 would buy again.

One of The Best Options

Sound quality is great for the user and the participants. Switching between a studio mic and these the the person at the other end said they couldnt hear too much difference. They are light to wear feel good overall. I bought these because the noise cancellation was rated as really good and the voice quality for phone calls was excellent and that's how it's worked out. Switching between phone and computer connection is good but not excellent but better than i have had in previous headphones. Not flawless but not bad at all.

They feel like clouds on your ears as you can wear these for hours and they’re comfortable the whole time. The battery life is great. Love these for traveling. The sound quality is crisp and I would highly recommend getting them.

Battery Life 10/10 Comfort 10/10 You get what you pay for. And in this instance, worth every penny. I am going to buy my wife a pair too. Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Some stuff is good some stuff needs to be improved The surface of the arch that fits your head is very thin, this looks good, but it makes it so that the point of contact in your head is minimal. Since only a small part of this surface touches your head, there is a lot of pressure on it, and after an hour, the top of my head starts hurting, and I have to move the ring around throughout the day to avoid this pain, which is very annoying. The headphone comes with sensors which detect if you have them on. It comes with an app where you can choose if to turn the headphones off when you take them off your head by using the sensor. This is amazing for saving batteries meaning you don't have to charge them often because you forgot to turn them off manually. The problem is you can choose a timer for the to turn off and turn off immediately after taking them off, making it very annoying when you want to take your headphones off for multiple reasons like going to the toilet, talking to someone else or simply moving them around to find a more comfortable position, they turn off and if you are in a meeting on slack or teams, skype you will have to go through the process of connecting a device to these apps again which is very annoying

Excellent Noise-Cancelling headphones

Battery lasts 30-35 hours between recharges when new. Microphone is good in anything except wind. The case is very nice, a little bulkier than others but much more secure. The color does not rub off or scratch easily, so it still looks nice even after weeks.

Compare with the max, Sony xm5 is much lighter and peformace as good epcially in vocal, bass, and maybe better in noise cancellation. My son likes a lot!

The noise canceling works very well and I now I'm tapped on the shoulder by my seat mates because I don't hear the FA. Easy to use and to charge. I can easily be on a trip for 4-5, use the headphones on two, three hour flights and some time in the office without having to recharge. I have also used them for being on calls and was told my microphone audio worked very well.

These earphones are lighter and much more comfortable than my previous earphones. The sound quality has improved as well but it is hard to beat any Sony headphone when it comes to true sound quality.

Great pair of headphones

I was more on the side of the AirPods Max, because it fit the apple ecosystem. However, I jumped on the Sony train. Great noise cancellation and excellent battery life! The price is also much better than the AirPods Max, but if you want superior noise cancellation, go with the AirPods Max. The other thing is that the XM5’s don’t really fatigue your head after long use. I highly recommend these headphones

Feels like youre in an airplane but wow. I cant hear anything. The lows are crisp and mids are present. Highs can be a missing but you can change the EQ. Best sounding headphones on the market. Battery life is amazing as well. Tested it and and a charge lasts 2 weeks with about hour and a half listening every day. These are the top. Sennheiser Momentum 4 are a close pick too.

Impressive Noise Cancelling

I generally use these paired with my iPhone while working and the sound has been impressive. I've been very picky with my headphones and compared these to the Apple Airpods Max and Bose, for the money they are a bit better value. The small nit picks I have are the need for an additional app installed for them to function, I wish they could be a little louder for heavier music, and given how lightweight they are (which is awesome) I am concerned with durability over time.
