I am an Apple girly through and through, but I went with Sony and haven’t regretted it at all! These headphones are great! They sound amazing and the functionality of them is so convenient. All the gestures you have to increase or decrease volume, skip or go back it’s so convenient. You can also toggle between music if you’re trying to hear someone or something. By placing your hand on your right ear music decreases for you. The battery life is unmatched and the charge time is the fastest I’ve encountered. All in all see for yourself, it’s a great buy and you get your money’s worth!

They are comfortable. I wear them consistently for work. Sound quality is great and I have had no complaints about the quality of the sound from the microphone. Also, they charge SO quickly between calls, battery life is never an issue.

For a very brief moment when I put them on I feel a slight discomfort on the top of my head, but then its perfect. No more discomfort. Just did 45 min on treadmill and they are amazing. Sound quality is great, phone quality is very good. I prefer these over the Bose due mostly to the call quality.

Sony WF 1000XM5 aka XM5

These Sony XM5s are just great and aound so good. I should add that im a True wireless earbud and headphone junkie, I have around 10 pairs from Sennheiser to Sony Samsung, from higher to a few cheaper ones. The Sony XM5 are a great quality pair and i like how comfortable they are. The sound is exceptional for a wireless headphone. Im taking advantage of the LDAC streaming hi-res via Qobuz, I do have and use Spotify as well but Spotify does not have any hi-res music. There are so many options in the App to customize these to however you could possibly want them to behave and adust sound quality to your liking. My only dislikes with these is there could be a bit bigger earwell for us bigger ear people , there is however so soft memory foam in there for the ear to rest on. I have no issues wearing these for hours at a time.

Yes, you can get wired fancy headphones that provide better fidelity, but this is going to be amazing for most people. Battery life, same as the last generation does about a week of light use without recharging. It's great. The noise cancelling is TOP. OF. IT'S. CLASS. you will be blown away. Airplane, travel, humm of many voices, air conditioner, running water. Whatever it is, you flip on ANC and it doesn't exist anymore. Better than Airpods Max, better than your dad's Bose. Build quality is a sturdy plastic that keeps weight down, but doesn't feel cheap at all. Swivel and tilt on the cups and memory foam pads make for great comfort for most people as well.

Really Good Headphones a Worthy Challenge to AirPo

The Sony is lighter and less bulky and has more bass I feel than the Airpods Max. I would say these are better for long flights than the Airpods max. They also have a custom EQ that you can set up. They also come with a cable to connect to a headphone jack on a plane. You have to buy that for $35 if you have Airpods max. Noise cancellation is excellent and I really like how you can just put your hand up to the headphone to stop that and have a quick conversation. You then just move your hand and you are back in business. They don't have the spatial audio like the AirPods Max and they don't have the cool factor of the AirPods Max. All in all really good headphones.

Light weight and great battery for noise canceling

It also fits very well around the ear. The advantage of it comparing to Apple airpods max is the light weight it has.

These headphones are comfortable to wear, but also fall off easily and the ear pads can get really hot. The settings are easy to set. Noise canceling is adequate, but not as strong as previous models. On rare occasion, there is a connectivity issue.

Must have for work or travel and lightweight!

The battery is great and after 3 work days I then need to charge for about an hour, and it is back at 100%. I have flown twice and these blocked out so much noise except I could hear a kid screaming. When I took off the headphones then I actually heard how loud the child was. Great looking headset and my manager went and bought one, and walking around campus I get stopped all the time about them. This is solidly made and the only complaint is the talk-to-stop noise feature can get annoying so I suggest turning it off as it triggers even when eating lunch. I wear these over my Apple earpods.

BEST HEADPHONES EVER??

Very comfortable and doesn’t press on my head. I suffer from chronic headaches and every pair of headphones I have tried makes it worse. These Sony headphones don’t give me any headaches even if I wear them for hours, feels like there is nothing on my head yet they are still so supportive. They sound great and the noise canceling is so good!!! I 100% recommend these for college students especially.

Love that you can adjust all the little settings and such. Just wish they were a little louder, but that also could be because I'm always blasting my music, so I might have ear damage already.
