Good, But Falls Short of Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for these and, after using them for over a year and a half, I’ve been disappointed by the noise cancellation. Despite tweaking bass and range settings, outside sounds still leak through in open environments — even with ANC toggled on in the app. I’ve accepted that this may just be their limit. Connectivity has also been hit or miss, with random Bluetooth dropouts that no amount of troubleshooting (on both phone and computer) seems to fix. Battery life is decent but not impressive for the price. Overall, I expected more. My next purchase will likely be the Apple AirPods Max — I’ve met too many people who rave about their truly phenomenal noise cancellation.

To help improve the performance, we recommend the following steps:
Firmware Update to Version 2.4.1: Please install the latest software to enhance performance and functionality. Detailed instructions are available at the following link:

Sounds from bass to mids to treble is amazing. Connectivity extremely simple. Easy too use noise cancelling wear them all the time. I like that all I have to do is touch the side when I want to hear whats around me and as soon as i stop touching it like magic back to blocking out the world.

The noise cancellation is near perfect. Took them on a flight and apparently there was a baby screaming the entire time behind my seat. I heard nothing. Yet, i could hear the pilot when i needed. Bass could be better but overall, great.

Wouldn’t recommend for high intensity workouts but great for lounging, light walks, and car rides! Love the features it has like noice cancellation and being able to turn it temporarily transparent while holding your palm to the right ear piece!

I can wear these all day without any issues or my ears getting sore. Comfortable with glasses as well. ANC - I literally can't hear anyone or anything. I can sit down in a busy coffee shop and the xm5 will block out 95% of the background noise and with some low music playing you really can't hear much.

I use this headset 4-7 hours a day on weekdays and 13 hours a day on weekends. Only have had to charge the headset up every four to six days. And the charge speed is incredible. Battery was at 10%, plugged it in went to get groceries, got back to a full charge. Lastly the range is insane. I was able to hear my discord chat the entire time i walked from my room to my car and thats at least a 600 foot distance.

There is more technology in these headphones than i will ever use. I had Bose headphones for years. The ear padding wore out so i purchased the Sony headphones. The difference between them is like, the Bose are like driving a Lexus. The Sony is like driving a BMW. Both excellent but the Sony has a bit more power in the sound.
