the headphones sound great, and they are quite a bit more comfortable to me in comparison to the xm4s, which were sufficient, but don't feel as nice or sound as good in comparison. i can wear these for much longer periods of time than the xm4s and i enjoy the sound more. the new adjustable bands are a nice improvement too, and feel more premium than the xm4. this device has some issues though. noise cancelling auto adjusts, which can be quite annoying when you can hear the headset adjusting automatically over and over in a short span of time, which makes me personally wish the noise cancelling can be manually adjusted instead. furthermore, the touch surface on the right earcup will still make noises when you touch it, even if you turn off touch controls. these issues, while annoying, hopefully can be fixed in a future software update. these still sound great, and are just very comfortable, and will be perfect i believe if these issues are addressed in a software update.

They’re very comfortable I love them they just don’t fold down and I travel a lot. But the comfort is amazing and their technology is so good. It adjusts noise cancelation automatically. I loved it

The sound is great, but just a bit behind the Sennheiser competitor IMO (I tried both). Noise canceling is outstanding. I didn't care for the app and couldn't find a equalizer setting that really made me happy, but that's a minor nitpick. The head band and ear cups are comfortable; however, moving around and laying on the couch while listening, these wouldn't stay in place on my head. Surely that won't be an issue for everyone.

These headphones have excellent noise canceling with a decent in-app EQ to tune more finely to your listening preferences. I really enjoy these headphones. The audio quality is really good for wireless headphones, and there is the option to use a 3.5mm cable if you would like to make the sound quality even better. The case is bigger than the last generation, but still isn't bulky in my experience carrying it almost everywhere I go. The pass-through mode to hear your surroundings is really good, almost as good as AirPods Pro 2, which is surprising considering the form factor of these close-back headphones. Battery lasts multiple days, even though it takes so little time to charge.

Absolutely blown away by the sound quality. These are really top notch, HOWEVER. I originally purchased these for gaming. They do not work for gaming. Playing music, watching shows, making phone calls, using them at night to watch TV to keep noise down its great for all of them. The gestures and touch capabilities are nice as well, you can fast-forward, rewind, pause, and turn volume up and down with touches and swipes. It also has great sound cancellation, You could fire a gun off behind someone wearing these and they wouldn't know, heck might be able to use these at the range. Hooking them up to a PC the microphone would not let these babies utilize their full potential, sounds like being on walkie-talkies, and i could not figure out how to deactivate it for just output no inputs. I purchased the LG Lightspeed Pro X2 for gaming now. I will also disclose that i bought these on sale for 299.99 which helped a lot. Knowing what i know now, i would not spend the 400 on these as they did not perform the task i'd bought them for originally. Get em on sale if you can, great for an audiophile.

I’m really happy with these. The noise canceling is excellent, and the feature of being able to put your palm on the right earphone to turn it to temporary transparency mode (and the way it immediately return to noise canceling when you remove your palm) is something the competitors don’t have. Sound quality seems quite high to me, but I admittedly don’t really care. Comfort and noise canceling are more important to me — you try working from home with three kids around! Side note, these are very comfortable to wear for a long time and the built in mics for taking calls / zoom meetings are great. When I listen back to a zoom recording, sound quality of my audio is excellent. Loud, clear, natural sounding, with absolutely zero background noise. I’m sure the Bose 700 are great too, but the palm on the earphone feature on these sealed it for me.

Best headphones I've ever owned. The first thing i believe that separated these headphones from other noise cancelling headphones is there is no weird pressure feeling on the ears from the nose cancelling. They create an atmosphere that is truly quiet. And there is a lot of customization. The (i don't remember the name of the feature) ability to cover the one side to temporarily turn off the noise cancelling to listen to people talking to you is nice. Also I've had them since before Christmas and haven't charged them yet. So I'm going to say the battery life is really good

The sound quality is amazing and the noise cancelling is better than any headphones I’ve worn. I wore these in an RV, which has a loud motor, with the windows open, and I could not hear the motor and barely the wind while I had the noise cancelling on with a show playing. Another plus is the battery life, which seems to be infinite. Out of the box the headphones were at 50% battery, and I was unable to charge them because I was traveling, so I used them with the battery that was already on them, which lasted for hours upon hours of streaming movies and shows. When I went to check the battery afterwards, they had only gone down a few percent. My only critique is that the headband, although plush, is thin and applies all of the weight and pressure from the headphones onto one part of my head. Aside from this, the headphones are quite comfortable around my ears and I have had no other issues with them.

Was between these and the XM4’s due to all the people saying these brea easy. Yes, you do need to handle them with love, but no they do not break easily. Yes accidents happen, but it isnt thathard be mindful when using them. If you are careful they will last you years. THESE ARE NOT MEANT FOR THE GYM OR ROUGH USE. They are for enjoying music, traveling etc. Treat them like you would an very full cup of coffee. You dont want it to spill while you carry it so you pay attention to how you hadle it. These are the same, but are so wortht he comfort and sound quality which is way better than the XM4’s.

Great look great feel. Everyone always turns their heads to see these. I love the sound and base. The battery lasts forever and you can even interchange the source of whatever you’re listening to with ease

I will admit, I was very skepticsly in buying these headphones, primarily befause of comments I had seen on build quality and how the display pairs felt in stores. However, i made the decision to buy them and was definitely surpirsed at how nice they felt. The sound quality is also great, especially once you are able to tinker with the EQ to match your liking, and they are super light and comfortable to wear. I initially bought them under the impression I may want to return them, but ultimately decided agaisnt it becase I liked them so much!

had airpod maxs that died on me due to sweat and thats my fault but then decided to get these and the difference is pretty huge these are so light and comfortable and the noise cancellation is great can really feel bass if you want as well

Excellent product. I clean houses for a living and this thing is a blessing to have to keep myself entertained. My only issue with it is that the right ear cup is a little too sensitive to touch controls. You can try and take it off your head and accidentally skip your song or video. It also detects whether it is on your head to stop and start. This only becomes an issue when you're sweaty and want to put your headphones around your leg for storage. If you wrap them on an arm or a leg, it will continue the video you are watching, so be careful there. Very minimal issues overall, these headphones are great.

Sony never loses to amaze me with the build and sound quality. Very light weight for the size of the headphone. ANC and sound quality is top notch.

The headphones are simple to setup and really, really do offer amazing noise canceling. I get hours and hours of use between charges.

These are perfect for working out or if you need to.do some deep cleaning. Excellent quality and all around comfortability!

3.75 (im docking it for the connectivity issues) Wow, Sony managed to do it again. Just when you thought that they could have stymied innovation, they come along with a pair of lighter headphones that are actually BETTER at noise canceling than they were before. I wouldn't have believed it, but its true. These are lighter, sound just as good to my ear, and the noise canceling is crazy. Crazier than the crazy before...crazier. The XM4s would actually hurt my head, too, after a while. I didn't get that with the XM5s. Glad I upgraded. I have yet to test the voice quality on calls, but I will. The one issue I have with these is that after a while, they will just disconnect. You can be watching a movie, or listening to music (in other words, you're actively using them) and it still disconnects. Yes, I went to the app and set it to not turn off...but it still does. I bet they can fix it with a firmware update, but still, for a $400 pair of headphones...that's a miss out of the gates.

Excellent headphones and super comfortable. The battery life also lasts me really long. Sometimes I have to reconnect to the headphones after I lift them up because it disconnects from the audio but that could be an issue I haven't figured out yet

I bought myself beats and these for my wife, these fit better on your ears. Beats make my ears hurt after a while. Sony has always had great sound, and the bass is one of the best!

Very good sound quality and very comfortable! Adapts to how loud your location is and modifys the noise cancellation by itself! Also very long battery life
