This comes with nice bag to store.

Sony Headphones GARGBAGE!

I will never buy anything from the Jacksonville NC Best Buy store. I purchased the WH-1000XM5 headphones on the 25th of Jan 2026 to replace the WH-1000XM4 headphones that the slider adjuster headband broke after a couple of years. The XM5's broke slider adjuster broke after 3 months. SONY's products are garbage, customer support at SONY and Best Buy are also a Joke. The good old days of a company standing behind their product for a year of parts & labor is nonexistent. Now you have to pay for all these extra warranties and be members of this and that to get what should be a given automatically. Sony is no longer reputable, and Best Buy I figure will go the way of Bed Bath and Beyond. I will continue to purchase from Amazon. Sony wants me to send these off to somewhere and pay them $100 to try and fix. Ok let's see, paid 300 for them and now they want to charge me to ship them and pay another $100. So, I now have invested $400 into a garbage cheap plastic product. NEVER AGAIN!

Multiple piercings approved!

The cups don’t irritate or put pressure on your earrings. I love these, my only complaint is I wish the band had better cushioning. The top of my head gets sore after listening for a couple hours and doesn’t go away for a while.

Please make sure to wear the headset properly. Adjust the length of the slider and orientation of the left and right units so that the earpads fit snugly all around your ears. If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect. Poor design for longevity or repairability

Worse noise canceling than the wh-1000xm3. If you are a soft hipster type who doesn't know what a hammer is for the rubber coating might not start wearing off in a month or two. Maybe don't mow the lawn with them, or paint, or do anything but sit sweat-sweat free staring at your phone. They are not German Shephard proof. If the headband needs to be replaced there is a cable that attaches the two sides that runs through the bracket where the connector cannot fit. Thus, to do any significant repair to the headband, including the soft, ultra delicate faux rubber around the padding you better know where to source and how to crimp on an extraordinarily brittle 16 pin connector. Thank god for ebay and electrical tape. I won't be winning any fashion awards with my Frankenphones. If I had known they were so difficult to repair I wouldn't have purchased.

Sony Let Me Down—Not Buying Again

I carefully superglued it, but that only extended its life by a month. A repair costs $150 to $200, nearly the same as the current sale price. I’m extremely disappointed in the build quality and Sony’s refusal to offer assistance, especially considering my original $400 investment. If you want great Bluetooth features and sound, you're better off putting your money into the more durable WH-1000XM4. As for me, I’ll be looking beyond Sony for my next purchase.

Not what i expected from a pair of $300 headphones

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These headphones when i first got them were great but in further use they take time getting used to if your someone that want to sing along to songs while listening these aren’t for you. but my biggest issue is a year of having the plastic that connects the band and muffs broke…and it’s a 300 pair headphone so with buying these get the warranty and don’t wear these like beats it’s more for a work setting but honestly not worth the $300 their other alternatives.

Regarding your experience with singing along to your music: it sounds like the Speak-to-Chat feature may be active. This is designed to pause audio when you speak, but it can be easily disabled in the Sony Sound Connect app so you can sing along uninterrupted.
