I’ve been coming from the lower end version of Sony headphones and these are night and day different! I was debating betweein the Airpod Max and the XM5s - this has an IP rating that Apple doesnt have which is well needed because my ears get damp and moisty a lot! Regardless, It’s super comfortable and amazing! Props to Sony for an amazing product!

Both Sony products and I feel this is very inconvenient. There is also no way to find them with an Apple product

1) PlayStation Bluetooth Connectivity: The WH-1000XM5 headphones do not support a direct Bluetooth connection with the PlayStation console. While they are both Sony products, PlayStation consoles are designed to use their own proprietary wireless connection for controllers and dedicated gaming headsets (such as the INZONE or PULSE series) to ensure a stable, low-latency audio experience crucial for gaming. As a workaround, many users have success using the included 3.5mm audio cable to connect the headphones directly to the PlayStation controller.
2) "Find My" Feature with Apple Products: The WH-1000XM5 does not support Apple's "Find My" network. However, we do offer a similar feature within the Sony | Headphones Connect app. This "Find device" feature can help you locate the headphones if they are connected to your phone and within a short range.
We understand these limitations can be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate you bringing them to our attention. Your feedback is very valuable to our product development teams as we continue to improve our products and user experience.

Love them and even use them for the gym. They are not sweat resistant, but as long as you wipe them down and not do a crazy sweating workout you’ll be fine. The main issue is the sound quality, it sounds mediocre, or even bad without spending hours tuning it. iPhone users are more likely to be not happy with the quality due to a lack of a third party EQ, and Android users are still trying to find out how to make these pair of headphones worth the money. Also unmentioned by many online, or YouTube reviewers is AutoANC instead of having ANC working full force all the time. I can be next to a person speaking and hear every word they say with music playing. When ANC kicks in, it's honestly barely noticeable. I still need my music very loud to hear over the loud environment. Ambient mode is okay, I'll use it if I have too but, I usually take off the headphones. Fortunately, the XM5's are light and have a nice, rubberized finish that I like. I have big ears, and comfort over 3+ hours is great. And, the lack of folding doesn't personally bother me. Overall, I think I should have gotten AirPods Max whenever I don't hear the ANC work.
